It must be a terrible thing to witness your child suffering and then to lose them so young. I have a family friend who was sick with cancer for about 8 months. He was given 3. He too was given an extension to see his grandson born and enjoy him for a few months before he passed. It's a sign of God's grace when, though he has deemed it someone's time, he gives them that one last wish of seeing a child or grandchild.
