More Nice People Leaving Entrecard

It’s sad to note that a few really nice bloggers are removing themselves from Entrecard for whatever personal reasons and asking to have their accounts deleted. Regardless if it’s because of the forums and things happening there and they feel like the Entrecard people aren’t respecting their long time members that post frequently and feel like they had a home there or because of the way the whole program is being run would be anyone’s guess unless they speak directly to that person and know their reasons.

I can only speculate from what I read in some of the threads because I am not a big participator so I don’t feel like I’m a member of that family group. If it’s because of the forum then that makes sense for me and I’m better off not participating. However I still like the program and will continue to use it till it closes or I’m deleted whichever comes first. I try to keep up with the standards they require, but who knows when my server might go offline or some other unforeseen occurrence. I would hate to lose my credits so I better start using them.

I have finally started bookmarking some of my favorite sites because I now realize that they might not always be in my inbox. I really should start signing up for more RSS feeds, but I always thought it better to visit the sites than read the post in a reader. I guess I really haven’t understood the importance of RSS unless it was for convenience. I can honestly say I do not know how many people have subscribed to any of my feeds because it was never important to me. I still check my stats through, Clicky but not where they come from or any of that other stuff just unique visitors.

I also realize that I haven’t been keeping up with answering comments lately even though I appreciate them and keep meaning to answer them, but this blog is dofollow so they at least get a link back. People post in hopes that what they have to say is important to someone and they can’t judge unless they get feedback and the same goes for commenter’s. I’m sure most commenter’s would appreciate the acknowledgment that they took the time to reply to our posts. To tell you the truth when I visit a site and leave a comment there have only been a few times when I expected an answer.

I have to go there was a loud boom and when I checked I found a busted pumpkin on my porch. Apparently a group of kids was aiming at the kid next door and hit our porch instead. Well, looks like this is going to be a messy Halloween I better keep the broom handy. :)

How To Make Money Online

Lately I see more and more people starting up the “let me show you how to make money online blogs” and most of them don’t even have a clue themselves. They have google ads all over the place hoping they will be the ones that will get lucky and make money. Or those plug and profit businesses in a box that are all the same. I got suckered with the CBmall business way back and I never even see those anymore, but I’m sure it’s still around.

Most people online try to teach you how to stay home and make money and some actually do, but it simply doesn’t work for everyone. I make a few dollars here and there, but nothing like I would make if I had an outside job. If I had to support myself I’d be starving by now from the income I generate online. I could probably teach you how to lose money online and as far as I’m concerned that’s exactly what most of the opportunities to get rich are all about.

I know there are many trustworthy mentors out there, but you will find most are small time marketers trying to hustle the newbie. They really saw me coming when I first started online and over the years I have lost quite a bit of money which I should have given to the orphans. I have always had positive thoughts and used the visualization methods and you name it I probably tried it, but here I am still not rich and it wasn’t from lack of trying.

My 2 Cents On A Couple EC Points

Seems to be a lot of speculation and criticism about EC lately and how it can be fixed and everyone has an opinion. You can read anywhere about the right and wrong way to drop and as far as I’m concerned there is no right or wrong way so long as it works for you. Arguments about getting rid of the inbox or keeping it, I personally like the inbox because I can at least see who left me their card.

I haven’t been advertising much lately, but I have been clicking on other peoples to find new blogs easily when the card makes me curious. I have run into a lot of great blogs out there which I never would have seen without this program as I’m sure holds true for most bloggers. I really do need to start a bookmark folder for the blogs I like encase something changes and people leave that I like.

We all have our own agenda for using the services of EC and I personally think most of the traffic is quality and I appreciate everyone that stops by whether you read or not or even comment at least you made an effort and maybe at some point something will catch your eye the same as myself when I visit other blogs and yours. I like reading about different things on how to make money, looking at peoples art and crafts, politics, and just glimpses of other peoples life.

Many people have their own ideas about how other people should blog and what they put on their blog and I have noticed that there are many blog snobs out there. I personally think if you’re doing what you enjoy then it really doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. There should be certain blogging courtesies like no auto music and a few other things, but if I don’t like it I can choose not to go back.

Of course people want other people to be interested in what they have to say and get very upset when they aren’t. Not everyone in this program likes to socialize, but there are many that do because it’s a necessity if you want to make your blog popular and stand out. I can’t say that my blog is a great one or even a good one, but it’s mine so I can do as I please and so can you, so happy blogging and enjoy.

To Use Or Not To Use Clickbank

All marketers use Clickbank because it’s the largest Internet marketplace for digital products and affiliates who want to sell them, but if you don’t sell a large quantity of products then you end up paying them if you have money in your account and you haven’t met their CDR– Customer Distribution Requirement. As you know from reading some of my post I write about things that haven’t worked for me even though it may work for many.

If you have a Clickbank account I would advise you to read their Accounting Policy, below is an excerpt.
ClickBank will withhold payment of any account balance until the following criteria is met:
1.Sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers and
2.Sales made with two different payment methods (either Visa, MasterCard, or PayPal). Note: PayPal purchases do not count toward the minimum 5 different credit card numbers.
Dormant Accounts
Accounts with a positive balance but no earnings for an extended period of time are considered dormant. Dormant accounts are subject to a charge of $1 per pay period after 90 days of inactivity, $5 per pay period after 180 days of inactivity, and $15 per pay period after 365 days of inactivity.

I posted about this awhile back for those that use Clickbank and didn’t realize why they weren’t being paid even though they had the payout at 25 dollars. I have been paid in the past until they made these changes and I couldn’t understand why they kept deducting and not paying me so when I did finally get around to rereading as I was directed to do I then saw why. I am certainly not a big seller through Clickbank as you can see below.

I think there was a couple credit card purchases, but the majority of people online now use their PayPal accounts because it’s easier and I don’t blame them, but that creates a pretty good loop hole for Clickbank to legally steal your money because you don’t meet their CDR as you can see from the screen capture of my account below. It is a free account, but this sucks, because they do deduct a fee when processing your check.

I am going to go through my websites where I use them and change everything to PayPal and I am also in the process of removing all codes from other affiliate sites that I belong to because most have a limit before they pay you and if you don’t reach it then it’s just a waste of time for me to make money for them. I do like 2CO and use them on my digital site and they deduct nothing from me except their fee when they process a sale, same as PayPal.

Have You Ever Experienced Howl At The Moon?

How many people have ever experienced Howl At The Moon? I have always loved piano bars and when I lived in Reno I got to experience my first one and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the fun of listening to talented individuals. Apparently Howl At The Moon has taken the basic piano bar premise and given it a twist with dueling pianos and a lot of entertainment for their customers. Every one joins in and sings along to the piano music and from the reviews I read it sounds like a fun spot.

I decided to check their website to see if there was one located near us and was delighted to find one. They have 14 locations around the country and I found one located in Baltimore, Maryland at 22 Market Place. It’s located in Inner Harbor at Power Plant Live which should be easy enough to find and we should be able to enjoy the unique experience ourselves. I can’t recall ever watching dueling pianos of course I have seen shows with dueling banjos which was always fun.

We’re planning a weekend excursion soon just to get away from all the stress and I always love visiting the National Aquarium in Baltimore so now I will have to add Howl At The Moon to my list of must visit spots who knows maybe I can win one of their party’s for 100 the only problem is I don’t think I have that many friends, but they have different specials during the week so I’m sure we can run into a deal for which ever night we choose, can’t wait.
