I’ve lived in Africa for the past 10 years. From abroad it’s been evident to me for the past 6-8 years that the US was in deep, downward spiraling trouble. Nothing I am seeing now surprises me - I’ve been expecting it. That it’s an election year in the USA might seem like it’s magnifying the global crisis, but from my perspective the crisis that the world faces - on so many multi-layered and interconnected levels - is so scary huge that neither camp is really able to adequately address it. As scary as this point in time might feel, however (believe me, the outlook is certainly not rosy in my corner of the world either), I really think this kind of mega adjustment in our global society is a good thing. I hear ya! Trying to figure out the ‘truth’ is almost impossible with all the lies and corruption now days. I am anxiously waiting to see what will happen too.

But we are in an election year. Politicians use crisis as a means to their advantage.

So when you watch or read the news, eat the hay and spit out the sticks.
