Has Anyone Tried BlogRolled?
I have recently ran across a text link program called BlogRolled. You can submit a site and if accepted advertisers can be added to your blog roll. You receive payment through PayPal on the 1st of the month and they base pricing on a combination of link popularity, estimated readership (Alexa), and estimated RSS subscribers. You receive 50% of whatever the link is and it runs for 30 days much like OIO except with OIO you purchase the plugin and you keep 100% of sales, BlogRolled is free to join. (blogrolled.com)
I haven’t tried it yet so I’m not sure how well it works, but I’m quite sure it’s not something Google would be pleased about because that means someone else would be making money besides them. Such greedy people and because so many people bow down to Google and are dependent on their whims they try to avoid any and all conflicts. These aren’t contextual ads so according to the FAQs on the site they should be compatible with all other ad systems.
Almost everyone is trying to make extra money with their blogs and you might want to check and see if this is something that might be right for you. I’m still checking into it myself, I signed up, but haven’t utilized it yet because I’m still weighing the pros and cons for myself. This isn’t a cost per click program so I like that people can’t click and get me into trouble or raise the price on someones ad campaign. They don’t have an affiliate program so you receive nothing for suggesting them.
