Is Your UTC Time Set Correctly?

Do you have the correct time set for your time zone on your blog? I have just figured out that my UTC time stamp has been set wrong for as long as I have had this blog, it has been set at -5 and it should be -4 so I have been 1 hour behind and why did I notice something so trivial? Because my last post should be time stamped September 30 12:45 and it posted for the 29th. I have now corrected my time and I feel so stupid when I realize these trivial mistakes.

I still haven’t figured out why Clicky’s time for 2 of my blogs are the same and the other one is way off. I probably have something typed in wrong there that is trivial, but just haven’t figured it out yet and it also will be something small that will make me feel stupid again. I really do like having the correct time set though so that when I post for the next day that’s when it registers. I keep noticing while I am 2 finger typing that periodically the save button will activate. I wonder if it really is saving my draft or will I lose it if IE shuts down.

I have had no luck with the Google Chrome browser so I think I will uninstall it, all it’s doing is taking up space on my computer. I heard so many people raving about it that I had to try it and as mentioned before it crashed, but maybe their system is different than mine. I love using IE and FireFox and I use them both for different things. There is no way I can drop EC’s with IE because it doesn’t recognize some widgets so I use FF specifically for that and IE for everything else.

My mind jumps around way too much. I really need better concentration since I started out on a time issue and ended up on which browsers I use, maybe I should simply call it a night and start fresh tomorrow.

Can You Type As Fast As You Talk?

I am a 2 finger typist and usually till I’m done typing my first sentence I’ve forgotten where I was going with my thoughts and my next sentence. I watched the video below and thought how cool it would be to have the Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Standard this software would make it so easy to just talk and not forget my ideas and it would do the typing for me and it even recognizes accents. I wouldn’t be stuck in front of the computer all the time. I could get up and move around and save my poor old eyes from the strain.

I watched the NY Times Review of Dragon NaturallySpeaking with David Pogue and he does a lot of technical reviews on video so you can watch as he reviews the product. From the review he did you can tell that he really likes this product so that’s saying a lot. I watched some of the other product reviews he did and he tells you both the good and bad and all I heard was good with this product. I always like to get product reviews and recommendations before I buy something. This product even searches the web and types e-mail by voice command now that could save a lot of time.

If your starting a small business and you can’t afford a secretary then you might want to check out the Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 Preferred. Of course I wouldn’t need all the functions that the preferred offers, but it would be an economical solution for a small business and you can even dictate into a handheld device when your away from your PC and it will type it up for you when you connect back up with your PC. I’m sure many people already use this product, but this is the first I have come into contact with it. As always I marvel at technology and all the possibilities and the brilliant minds that think it up.

Vacation Is Over

It’s so good to be home. I love going away, but being in your own home among your own things is great. I am so behind on everything since I wasn’t near a computer for over a week. I see that Entrecard is making some changes so it should be interesting to see how things shape up. I appreciate the visits while I was away.

I took along a notebook to jot down ideas while I was away, but didn’t write down one thing except my gas mileage which wasn’t too bad all things considered. We averaged about 22 miles per gallon and for our jeep that was great. I seem to be brain dead at this point in time and can’t think of one thing to actually post about so this will be very short today.

Vacation Time And Entrecard

I will be away next week so since you wont see my widget in your Entrecard inbox I know there will be very few visitors from that source and really it’s okay because I know how that works and it doesn’t bother me because leaving town for a week is more important than anything else right now. I do wish to thank everyone for their visits in the past though. Since I wont be near a computer I wont update until I get back.

Has anyone had a problem trying to edit and update any information about their blog? I simply can’t update anything at Entrecard right now and it wont even let me change my tag line, very frustrating. There seems to be many changes underway and hopefully some of them are going to be good ones. I really think the program is a great idea and I hope it continues, but the last few partnerships were rather dismal.

It’s great that the owner tries to find new ways to help everyone and I can’t say anything bad about one of the best free programs out there for getting traffic. Some people get very frustrated because of bounce rate and they’re irritated because they try to write something to get a response and I’m sure they feel unappreciated because I always see different posts written about all of the drop and runs.

Bloggers are always telling us how they drop and I’m quite sure I’ve even mentioned my method, but you have to decide what’s best for you and your blog and you can’t expect everyone who visits your blog to comment. You might think you’ve written a masterpiece, but not everyone will be interested. If you’re lucky and you write something interesting then you will naturally pick up a few readers and commenter’s.

Everyone wants reciprocated drops and comments, but it doesn’t always happen. I like to drop on different categories because I never know when I might find something that will interest me, but blogs that post about politics and sports are not likely to comment on this blog nor will I theirs because I’m not knowledgeable enough about either even though I return their drops and they mine, my blog just wouldn’t interest them.

Okay enough from me I need some sleep, happy blogging.

Thank-you Lea I Love Your Blog Also

I have some of the weirdest incoming links from sites I have never heard of and when I go to check they make absolutely no sense however I did recognize one and that was from Lea at Ocean Of Perspectives and she is so kind she wants me to have this award and so for her I will accept it because I know she genuinely does care and she was kind enough to give my other 2 blogs the same award twice for one of them so dear lady that she is must really love that one. (joke Lea)

I always appreciate your thoughtfulness and support whenever you leave a comment and I also love your blog and I love reading your posts although I don’t comment on each one, just know that I do read them. You have a unique blog and it’s well worth anyone’s time to visit and I highly recommend anyone and everyone to take the time to visit Lea. You could also say a little prayer or big one for the hardship she is experiencing at this time of her life. My prayers are always with you Lea.
