No human is one sided and we all have so many things going on that we don’t discuss with others. I have had so many dreams of having my own business and I am going through the process of everything I need to do like getting my business license to accept credit cards, but I really don’t understand everything there is to know about merchant services and how to set up a merchant account however I did that online through various services, but off line it’s a bit different.

I have had to get a merchant account for the e-books that I sell online and I realize the importance of that because if you sell then you will need some kind of merchant services and if you are not prepared then you will definitely lose out. I eventually want to sell the perfume I love on my other site and I’ll need  a merchant account  whether it’s for my online business or an offline business I found a place that I will check out for a free merchant account and credit card processing.

Credit card processing is really not something I want to get involved with because it seems too complicated for me. I have never had a real business in the real world that I had to worry about the responsibility to accept credit cards, but online I do and  that’s why I rely on the two that I use. I have worked for several businesses and they didn’t use a credit card service so they lost out on a lot of business. People just don’t have the cash anymore so they rely on a credit card to extend their buying power.

This is something that I will have to delve into further because it’s something I will need for my business and I’m sure you will too if you are planning on branching out for yourself.

Today I had to say farewell to Smart FTP because it’s no longer free to use and at this point in time I don’t feel like spending 40 bucks. I have been using it for about 10 years and have grown quite use to it even though I had to renew it every 30 days for me it was very user friendly and I can understand why they need to make money with it so I sadly say goodbye and wish you well, but I will probably buy you later.

I just downloaded the free CoffeeCup FTP and tried it and it’s quite different so I will check it out further and decide if I will be able to get use to it. I love free, but is that always the best? No, but with so many companies willing to furnish free products then why not try them that is if you have a good virus program that can get rid of all the malware and other backdoor Trojans before they infect your pc. Most times when those things are removed though the programs do not operate correctly.

I also use another free program which is great called Piriform CCleaner and every time I use my FireFox Browser I remove all cookies which I love. I normally use FF for certain things like dropping Ec’s because it normally always shows a blog the way it was intended to be viewed and I can always find the EC widgets unlike when I use IE and I just added the add on called “noscript” to FF so I’m anxious to see how it works when I go drop which I am going to do right now so have a good night.

I am totally amazed at how earnestly some paid posters work. If you go to payperpost.com you can see the top 3 earners for this month Linda=$1,892.88, Kathy=$1,877.83, and Atila=$1,816.00 now that is dedication. I have 3 blogs and the sum total I have made for 15 months is $2,073.45, but of course I don’t view it as my online business.

I don’t like to post about many of the things that are available, but I have no problem buzzing about a free service that is available or a contest or sweepstake and sometimes a cool product. I like Social Spark because it uses the nofollow tag, but since it was opened to the public I have taken only 4 opps, I seriously doubt that I will ever get my page rank back so the nofollow really doesn’t matter much to me.

I could easily take 3 opps per blog per day and if they were 5 dollars a piece that would be 45 dollars a day, 315 dollars a week. Of course the price ranges are different so it would possibly be even more. I personally do the 10 dollar and up and maybe a 7 or 8 every once in awhile, but as you can see I don’t do that many simply because that would mean 18 posts a day or somewhere around there because they have to have an interim post in between.

Now I have been called wordy before, but that’s just too many words for me and who cares if my granddaughter or child pooped her pants or I’m sick and have a headache or my husband took out the trash or what lovely weather we are having today just to have 3 to 5 sentences in between a sponsored post so I could grab another one?

The majority of blogs that I drop on in Entrecard happen to be paid posters and I really don’t think they care if I read their paid posts or not so long as I drop a card to help their real rank so they can get better opps. I’m not saying that most are just there for the money because I have read many that have interesting content other than all the paid advertising, but those are easy to pick out from those that really don’t care.

For those that really don’t care then I have no qualms about dropping and running just as fast as I can. I have found some very good blogs that I do stop and read, but I don’t always leave a comment and I certainly don’t get upset when people don’t comment on something I write. I wish I could make myself take more opps because who can’t use extra money, but it’s just too much work, maybe I should look for an outside job.

Our kids are more advanced than when I was in school and I’m always amazed at the speed that they now learn. My grandson who is now 6 and starting first grade knows more about computers than I do and I’m sure before long even the first graders will all have their own personal pc notebooks and I still don’t even have one. With all the toy computers it’s only a step away before they have the real thing.

I have all kinds of rants this day concerning PPP and Entrecard since these happen to be the two I am involved with at the moment. So first I will start with Entrecard. Okay my first rant has to do with those stupid ads that cover the whole freaking blog, I am not going to do anything but click that red x and you lose a credit from me, maybe the other people that have and put the same thing on their site will tolerate it, but I will not.

Today was very stupid not only did I have numerous twitter things pop up at me from several different sites I also ran into a couple of things that popped up at me when I tried to leave a site and one told me that I hadn’t finished the form I was trying to fill out and the other told me that if I left that site all kinds of porn would pop up at me, if I see it again I will take a screen shot and post it so please check your site.

Now not only do I have to find the stupid widget that people try and hide from Entrecard droppers I now have to find the stupid drop. People hide these widgets among all other kinds of 125 by 125’s and try to trick you with all the drop here and all those other stupid drop widgets very confusing and now the drop moves all over the place from Entrecard to confuse cheaters…Duh.

At this point in time those are my rants against EC other than people auto playing their own music and having stupid auto play ads so they can make a few bucks, very irritating. I now leave my sound off because people really don’t care how much they irritate anyone else, they are very rude, yes YOU. All those widgets and flashing icons and favicons and things floating all over your site isn’t cute, stop that crap and have a little respect for others. I will do my PayPerPost rant later this is getting way too long with my irritations.
