EC Advertising And A Clarification
Just to make sure that my last post was understood. I don’t put anyone down for using blogger unless your a marketing expert and can’t even afford your own domain. I simply made an observation after blogger went down and realised how many bloggers actually used that platform and most are excellent bloggers. I simply wanted to know the percentage of Blogger Blogs in EC’s system.
There were a number of comments that sort of made me feel like I was inferring that they weren’t good bloggers because they choose to use that platform and that wasn’t what I meant at all. At any rate how anyone chooses to blog or no matter what platform they are using they obviously want visitors otherwise why join EC and drop your card? I simply don’t understand why they bother if they aren’t going to update and as was pointed out to me, I should simply find those that do..
Do you get offended when you try to advertise on someones blog and they decline you? When I first started with EC it bothered me at first and I would go visit their site and try to figure out why they thought their blog was so much better than mine. Of course when I first started I also declined some blogs for whatever reason and then I realized that it didn’t really matter so unless they are really offensive I pretty much accept all.
I am not a prejudiced person and I really don’t care what another persons lifestyle is and I feel bad about one blogger that I denied on my Pappy and Nana site just because of the way he had the wording on his card. I couldn’t have any of the Grandchildren seeing that and not understanding that it wasn’t a statement that I was making and that it was someone else and asking me questions that I think they are too young to understand.
I did send a message to this blogger to explain to him, but I never heard back so whether he holds it against me or not I don’t really know. I don’t let it bother me when someone declines my card any more I just figure it’s their loss of credits and find someone else that will take my credits off my hands. I really like this system and I have been advertising more. I didn’t get to drop yesterday so I’m off to make up for it.

I read your last post and I somehow also got offended by your quote below, but maintained my composure.
“Now who is going to listen to any marketer that can’t even afford to pay for hosting? Certainly not me, I can be naive at times, but I’m certainly not stupid.”
What does the 2nd sentence mean? If you’re not stupid, then who is stupid?
I believe that any free blogger user like me will feel the same way, too.
I am your regular regular (not just a dropper)even you do not post frequently sometimes. This is because I love the way you blog, and I think I already told you that when you post a comment on my blog.
I will still be that way as long as I find your posts interesting to read.
I just hope you watch your word next time to maintain a healthy relationship among other bloggers.
Thanks.

You are correct Guardian Angel about my posting, but I do try to post at least every other day except weekends and when Bill was away I didn’t post for 4 days because I was offline, but I didn’t drop cards either and I did apologise for the same post being up for that many days.
I do hope you will accept my apology and know that what I posted wasn’t a slam. I have tried to explain what I meant and I do apologise to anyone that took offence and when I said that I wasn’t stupid that wasn’t to infer that anyone else was.
It just meant for me that most marketers decide that we are stupid and we will fall for anything, but we aren’t stupid and we realize if people that are trying to sell us books and the way to make money then they should at least pay for their own domain.
Okay I’m done groveling, have a great evening. I hope I can be forgiven for something stupid that was taken the wrong way.

I wasn’t offended at all. You have every right to express your opinion. Actually, I felt the same way once upon a time. I’m enjoying your blog. Hey, at least you know people are reading, right? *grin* Have a great weekend!

You’re right Sandra I hadn’t really thought about that..The reading part…My comment was actually about a business being run from a free platform or any marketer, to me that’s a no no.

Apology accepted, Jude. I have no personal feelings against you.
Although everyone has the right to express his or her opinions, everyone has also the right to react on it.
Thanks.

It wasn’t your post that really offended me. It was the comment made by someone who inferred anyone with a blogger account wasn’t a “real” blogger. Actually I know many a blogger, using blogspot, making decent money, and not paying a hosting fee. Doesn’t make them too stupid in my opinion, or any less real.

Thanks Guardian Angel and thanks to you Monkey for the clarification.

hahaha! Hey, last time I was by here you were thinking about quitting. Aren’t you glad you hung in there! hahahha! Yeah bloggin can be real monster-people have reactions and people get misunderstood.
Even now I’m in two “arguments” becuase one guy is a marketer claiming his system works and I can punch 20 holes in it in 20 seconds, and like Dracula-he invited me into the situation so…
But the blogger platform was originally very weak, I thought, when I first started. But now I see that it has many uses-and I just convinced a young lady to start one for a TV show she likes, so that alone made me feel good-not to mention the blogger blogs I have that are easy to set up and make money with.
As for EC rejection-well I THOUGHT it might have been my color and afro at first (and it might be) but I just keep all my rejectors in a “special” folder…

Hey Dave I think you have a lovely blow out. I had to learn to do those in school and I did so many straightening perms that it hurt me to see how much pain people would endure to have straight hair and burn their scalp up. We are what we are, but we all seem to want to be different.
You made me laugh when I read your comment and that’s a good thing. I wasn’t going to quite, but I couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t so I was trying to make sense of it all, but I haven’t yet. I may just be a devious old broad looking for conflict, who knows? Take care…
