Traffic Withdrawal Pangs
The weekends are normally slower traffic days than the rest of the week especially during warmer months and if you have a family you want to enjoy the nice weather outside with them. This blog has never been a huge traffic draw, but since using Entrecard it has improved, but with the outage yesterday it made me realize that people really need an incentive to visit. I’m having traffic withdrawal pangs.
I wonder how many people had withdrawal pangs yesterday. For many I’m sure they saw a huge drop in traffic and probably even missed dropping themselves. I know some people naturally have certain blogs they like to keep up with and visit daily just because they want to, but for many if there is no incentive of what’s in it for me then they don’t. Some people even leave comments to spread goodwill which is nice.
Everyone has their own agenda for the things they do and it really doesn’t matter to me if they are genuine or not, so long as I get traffic. Even though I’m not sure at this point why I feel like I want it. I can’t really say that I have anything of importance to impart and I’m not very entertaining although at times I may come up with something that helps someone.
Yesterday I installed the code for BlogUpp to attract even more traffic and removed MyBlogLog for awhile. I have a feeling that it will be sort of like BlogRush. I can’t say I have gotten much traffic from them on this blog, but I have on my beauty blog. I mentioned before that I started this one to make money and I have made some, but I need to brain storm and find a real purpose for keeping this one.
I don’t care much about bounce rate and I really care less about what Google thinks anymore. Sometimes they send me traffic and sometimes they don’t. People like seeing that green line when they visit a site, but when I use the beta version of Firefox it doesn’t have it so I don’t know who has a page rank and who doesn’t and it doesn’t bother me in the least. I think I’ll go drop some cards now and get my daily fix.
