Yesterday was a frustrating day with this computer and because of lack of sleep the night before everything seemed to snowball and go downhill. None of my browsers worked right and everything kept freezing on me. Entrecard wasn’t working right and they even had an outage later on. My server kept going down for my blogs and they kept timing out. I know it was my server because other sites loaded easily except mine.
My computer kept making noise like it was so busy doing something I didn’t know about and I hate that. I finally removed a program that I bought called Version Tracker Pro that monitors my drivers and different programs that I use and lets me know when there are updates and that seems to be helping today with all the background noise. Well that was a waste of 30 dollars.
I am using the free antivirus program AVG that someone suggested to me in response to an earlier post that I made and that seems to be working fine at the moment. ( knock on wood) Last month I was having all kinds of problems with conflicting programs that didn’t want to work together.That’s when I decided to quit being a pack rat on this computer and get rid of all those programs that I never use.
I seriously think I’m going to buy an external drive and back up everything on here and then just reinstall the whole system from scratch because somehow over the past four years even some of the system programs have managed to disappear. I really wish now I had taken computer courses instead of Cosmetology. At the time I didn’t realize that I would like working on this more than cutting hair.
