Not Sure How I feel About Social Sparks Yet
I haven’t yet decided what I think about Social Sparks. I’m sure it will be very appealing to many because they will be able to make money by writing paid posts and have the chance to use no follow and be able to get their page rank back so that will be a big plus.
Being able to contact an advertiser and request an opportunity because it fits in with their blog is also on the plus side. I haven’t worked out all the things I like yet, but I do know that I don’t like the dynamic pricing. Depending on when you take the post, if lots of others want it also then the price for doing it can drop. I don’t like that part.
I like a sure thing that I can count on. If the queue for that opp is full then you can wait for a spot, which I did recently and by the time they created the opportunity for me it was below the price that I thought would stay the same. Well, I did learn from that so I’m really not holding out much hope on the pricing point.
I declined that opp by the way not that 8.50 is bad, but that wasn’t the amount I was willing to write that particular post for. I have a feeling that I am going to prefer Izea’s PayPerPost over Social Spark at least for the time being.
I am more use to the PPP format and I really don’t care that I lost my page rank, I still make money. However I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling my way around and trying to get the lay of the land. I haven’t sent out any friend request as yet, but I’ve accepted several. I know that is going to be a large part in this program since it is a social site after all.
If your not sociable I’m afraid the opps are going to be few and far between because the advertisers will be checking on how popular you are and the comments that are left for you and all the props. I don’t know if I can play high school again. My opinion and I could be wrong so I’ll wait and see.

Hi there Jude… thank you for sharing the intimate details of SocialSpark cause I’ve been unable to fully try it out since they rejected my blog twice.
They asked me to change quite a few things which I was not very willing and then I browsed through the new tasks page to find the structure is so volatile as compared to what I was used to at PPP. Some of the things such as the dynamic pricing you mentioned is definitely geared towards the advertisers.
Anyways thanks to your post which validates my decision not to even bother about them for now.
Cheers and all the best to ya!

Hi Daryl,
I haven’t worked the dynamics out for myself yet. I have seen many people really excited, but I really haven’t gotten there yet, maybe I’m just not seeing all the greatness as yet.Best to you also and thanks for stopping.

I really like the whole idea of SocialSpark, I just wish we were seeing more advertisers start using it.
I probably won’t actually start taking opps from it for a couple of weeks.

Hi Jude,
I’m not too keen on Social Spark just yet. Like you I prefer PPP for now. I like to know how much I’ll be paid for a particular opp, not having the price jump all over the place. And that’s after waiting several days to get the opp in the first place.

I’ve been a member for a couple of weeks now and have signed up for several opps- so far none have been assigned to me…I find in the comments that this is true for many others as well. I wish they would put more value on good writing and top quality reviews rather than so much on popularity.

I’ve heard about that Social Spark thingy before but am not sure what it is. Thanks for this post. Anyway, am not into PPP directly since they do not want ads (bidvertiser) below the title of my post. And am not willing to give it up. But I earned big bucks thru RM, almost daily bucks thru Payu2blog. Occasionally I also earn thru smorty and blogvertise.

I am not all that thrilled with socialspark, but it is early days yet.
