Oh God Not Another Entrecard Post
Just when I think I am getting things figured out with Entrecard darn if that don’t change it all on me. That’s not nice to do to an old lady of course Bill tells me me I’m still young at 54, but your as old as you feel and some days I feel a hundred and I worry about all those brain cells I’ve been burning up from bad habits over the years.
I was dropping tonight and was way past my 600 per isp, but last night it was like 700 also so I’m not sure what is going on with that. I really should read their blog more often so I know what’s going on. After the site went down I waited to see what was going on and thought something was wrong when I saw how low my ec’s had dropped on 2 blogs.
I then went to the blog to see what was up and found out they had been planning this change for awhile. From some of the comments some people think that people will stop dropping, but I don’t see why they would. I certainly like the traffic and the lower I can get my real rank for Social Spark the better I’ll like it.
My Alexa rating has really gone down just in the past 2 weeks which I would like to see even lower even though it’s not that important, but since I fully intend to post for Social Spark I appreciate all the uniques I can get because it’s the easiest money I have ever made online and it pays for my hosting and since people don’t read then it really shouldn’t bother them.
Doesn’t matter if people don’t want to read what I post I simply appreciate the visit and I would never put my widget down at the bottom of my template because that’s not going to keep anyone longer, it might just make them mad. I really don’t understand the bounce rate, but I know it’s not good if someone is only on your site for a nano second, oh well.
I accepted a widget from a Rick Astley blog because I have always liked him and I think it’s cool when people get Rick rolled. I am definitely going to have to check that blog out tomorrow. I know younger people think it’s corny, but he really does have a lot of fans. I guess I’ll shut this down because my eyes are blurry….Goodnight.
I am editing this to ask a question of anyone in the know. Is the Entrecard widget copyrighted? I was dropping and when I saw the widget on the end of this line of ads I automatically clicked on it and it went to an advertiser site from the blog I was dropping on.

I tried to drop twice before I realized what was happening and then I checked further down the page and they had the legit widget to be dropped on. To me that smacks big time of fraud trying to dupe people and entice with the look a like widget to get traffic.

The change really caught me by surprise as well.. I had ten people wanting to advertise on my blog, then after accepting them, I noticed that it cost 4000 entre credits to advertise on my blog… then I went to the forums and found out about the changes… needless to say, I had to remove a few ads from my cue, as they were paying something like 8 ec a day, where I had been getting paid 300 a day. I left a few that were relevant to my genre, and one that is just a fun site run by someone who drops on me regularly.
Anyway, I will keep dropping, because I like the traffic.
I’m curious about socialspark… are you an alpha tester? I can’t wait to try them out when they go public.. I don’t even know how it is supposed to work, but with google dropping PR, it has become difficult for me to make money online.
Okay, this is way too long for a comment.
Cheers!

Hi Sly,
I’m not an alpha tester, those spots mostly went to the people that attended postiecon in Vegas. However I am content to wait till they work out all the bugs.
I really don’t know all the ends and outs of Social Sparks, but it’s promised to be very exciting for both posties and advertisers to be able to interact on a more personal level.
PPP is the only source I use to make money on my blogs nd I’m quite happy with it inspite of Google. I may try something else further down the line, but for now I really don’t like throwing a lot of ads at people, but to each their own.

I really hate those sites that use the Ecard design along with their logo. It’s pure trickery and very very tacky. Sadly, there are several out there who do it.
