I Really Like Entrecard
Entrecard is great, but indeed it can consume a lot of your time, but it beats some of the other methods for getting traffic at least some people take the time to leave a comment here and there which is the same thing that I do. No one has the time of course to comment on every blog they visit, but some do try if only a short line, but as a blog owner everyone wants the comments to add something to their post not just a hello great blog and you can tell many didn’t even read the post they just say something general that could fit any post.
I find it difficult to delete those post that people are at least trying to say hello and I was here, but I really dislike the ones that don’t even use their name or Internet nickname, but the name of their blog or whatever else they are trying to sell to me that is spam, but some I let through anyhow. I know everyone is trying to advertise their blog and I do understand that and another thing while I’m on the subject, the url that links to your user name is enough you really don’t have to add another link in the post… Thanks.
I still don’t have the program completely figured out yet, but I’m working on it. I have noticed that my Alexa rating is going down some and I like that. Last year it was 400,000 but it climbed way up in this past year. I know it’s not accurate because many people still don’t use the toolbar, I don’t, but for many they still use it as a measuring stick against others to gauge where they compare against other sites and for some reason the compare plugin I was using stopped working.
I have noticed a lot of blogs that are still in the Entrecard system that don’t even have a widget on their blog which is okay because some of those blogs are really good and I wouldn’t have seen them otherwise, but I really don’t understand about all the blogs that are no longer even in existence and why they remain, but as we all know there is no perfection with anything, but this is a program that I’m sure will be around for a very long time.

Gotta love Entrecard! I have been using it for over a month and still haven’t figured out a quick approach to dropping. However, I have found plenty of interesting blogs that I would have never seen without using EC. And that includes yours

I’ve been really impressed with the results that I’ve seen while using entrecard, and found a handful of quality blogs through it as well.
Of course, with the newfound traffic comes a few issues. I actually found a site that was copying my content! I’ve also had to moderate out a few lazy comments. It really is a tough decision to make, but in the end, it is your blog, and you’ve got to use your best judgment.

Hi Sly,
There are so many scrapper sites out there that it seems like they are taking over the web, but I’ll deal because I love the traffic, so far this has been so much better than any of the social sites. I just have a really good feeling about it and I’m very happy I discovered it and took the time to try it.

Entrecard has been a great traffic generator for me as well. I certainly notice my Alexa rating improving rapidly. The other big benefit of Entrecard has been the networking with other bloggers. I have discovered many quality people and interesting content in a vast array of subject areas. It’s definitely addictive (in a good way.)

for the sites that don’t have the widget, i’ve noticed that sometimes the entrecard widget uses the same div or class as other advertising and sometimes they overlap and get hidden. it’s kinda annoying really. I’ve noticed a google ad where an entrecard widget would be. Kinda weird.

@ Marty I also have found so many interesting sites and not just in my class. It’s really nice to find other sites that I have an interest in, but wouldn’t have found otherwise.
@Yoshi Thanks so much for explaining that for me. It was something that I couldn’t understand and it’s really nice to meet both of you.
