Why Does Clickbank Remove Money From My Account?

I guess everyone on the Internet uses Clickbank and I have for years, but I don’t always pay attention to all the rules and the way everything is modified as I’m sure most people don’t and when you accept their terms do you always read everything? Well I don’t, but I did know that if you are inactive for awhile they will start deducting a 1 dollar from your account.

Recently I started noticing more being deducted and I figured they just wanted to get rid of the remaining money in my account which they did, but it wasn’t much, but still I thought it sucked. I don’t always make money through Clickbank, but I have been sent a few checks in the past and now I am worried that I will lose my account if it isn’t active and will have to start paying them.

I did finally send them an e-mail to satisfy my mind as to why they deducted more than the dollar and this is the answer I received. The first part is mine and the second is their reply:

Me: I was wondering why you removed more than 1 dollar on these 2 dates.
2007-11-01 Sales dates included are from 2007-10-16 to 2007-11-01 $0.00 $-3.84 $0.00 $0.00 $0.00$0.00 CSV, 2007-10-16 Sales dates included are from 2007-10-01 to  007-10-16 $0.00 $-5.00. I was use to seeing 1 dollar removed if I didn’t have a sale, but those 2 kind of didn’t make sense to me.

Clickbank reply: Thank you for your inquiry! An account with a positive balance, but no earnings for an extended period of time is considered dormant. Dormant accounts are subject to a charge of $1 per pay period after 90 days of inactivity, $5 per pay
period after 180 days of inactivity, and $15 per pay period after 365 days of inactivity. For further information, please visit our Accounting Policy page:

http://www.clickbank.com/accounting.html Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance!

So if you want to make sure you don’t lose money make sure you keep your Clickbank active or it’s a waste of money and time….Yours. Some people just seem to be so dipped in it, but I am not one of them. I take that back most people bust their hump to make sales with Clickbank and however you look at it Internet Marketing is not always a cinch, people pay their dues.

PayPal Credit Card Identity Theft

I have never applied for a Paypal credit card because I don’t do credit anymore. That’s why I was slightly alarmed when I received a letter in the mail today from GE Money Bank located in El Paso, Texas with a PO Box informing me that my request for credit from PayPal had been turned down and the reason given was ” Unable To Verify Identity Of Applicant” well Thank God for that.

We all know that identity theft is a huge problem, all they need is a name and address. I am unsure as yet about what has just happened here and I fully intend to get in touch with Paypal and see if they have heard from any of there other customers about something like this happening elsewhere. I definitely would never do business with a bank with a PO Box, as far as sending them a response.

I’m actually thinking this is a scam to get my attention and send a reply to the above company that I named and give out even more personal information, which I would never do and if you get something like this in the mail be very wary about sending any personal information. People actually sit around figuring out ways to take advantage and scam people seems they have nothing better to occupy their spare time.

I know some one was trying to get a credit card in my name or at least make it appear that way, but at this point I don’t have all the details. I will update this when I find out more. If anyone has had a similar experience please let me know. Chances are if you work on line you have a PayPal account and people could try to get access to your account.

I just did a search and found out that the bank above is the bank that issues the PayPal credit card so now I think that either PayPal made a system mistake and tried to get me a credit card from them even though I don’t want one or someone really is trying to steal my identity and was denied because of the reason I stated above that was given on the form they sent me. I’ll deal with this tomorrow, but I’ll let you know the outcome.
