Will Izea RealRank Be Successful?
Ted Murphy and team have launched Izea RealRank and it is now open to the public. To get a better understanding of what this program can do you can read about Izea realrank on Ted’s blog. This program is for blogs only at the present time so a person can gauge how well their blog compares to other blogs that are in the system. I will not try to explain it because others can do that much better.
Will this program catch on in the blogosphere, only time will tell. Everyone seems to have mixed emotions, myself included. Before the Google smack my pr was 3 which isn’t very much, but I liked seeing that little bit of green and of course it enabled me to make pocket money with my blog. I honestly believe Google could have found another way instead of stomping all the small bloggers.
There are many bloggers posting about this new program with mixed reviews and you can read the post from Darren Rowse of Problogger as he relates his take on this new endeavor by the Izea team and asks his readers if they will opt in. Most of the comments are negative, but it’s still a good read.
Andy Beard is one of my favorite bloggers because he in my opinion sees things the way they really are and I always make it a point to check his blog when I want an in-depth look at anything. Andy keeps his eye on everything that’s going on in the blogosphere and if you want to read his view about Izea RealRank then please follow the link, you will find it well worth your time.
For awhile after the pr drop I still had traffic from Google, but now it is almost extinct and the realrank for this blog against the other blogs in the system stands at 3,736 which is horrible, however my beauty blog still gets traffic from Google and realrank for that blog fluctuates between 500 and 900 sometimes more sometimes less.
The last post I wrote for advertising purposes was Dec. 7th. I will still do these, but I will follow Google’s dictates about using nofollow whenever possible. I have thought about using nofollow on everything, but I believe if everyone did that then there would be no reason or way for Google to follow anything and that would be bad for the blogosphere so I will continue to be a dofollow blog except for paid posts unless I change my mind of course.
Some people think that Google has started their update, but I haven’t seen any evidence of that yet. I haven’t asked for reconsideration for my blog even though I added no follow to the paid posts that I did. I conceded that much because I wouldn’t want to have my posts interfere with search results, even though when I use Google all I get is garbage on the 1st page still. I don’t consider any of my posts garbage, but that’s my opinion.
I hope the new SocialSpark will be a success for bloggers and advertisers. Payperpost was a great way for homebound workers to earn extra money, now if I can figure out how to get more traffic without Google I will be happy.

The reinclusion request form is still a little demeaning, but if you have added nofollow to previous links, then there is no harm in using it.
This is especially true if you have seen a drop in traffic, which is the lifeblood of any blog.

Hello Andy…I am actually hoping Google will restore my rank without my having to beg for it, seems only fair, but I guess unless someone actually views my blog that will never happen.I guess that’s something I may consider if it doesn’t change during this new update.
When they dropped me to zero they also dropped my main site as well and traffic from Google is almost at a standstill. Thanks for stopping by.
