I have just joined Yahoo answers because I need to open up different traffic streams and not rely on Google. So far I have answered 3 questions, but plan on trying to answer at least a few a day and hopefully after a week or so I will get a better level position and be able to add my blog as a source for some of my answers and hopefully that will help traffic a bit.
I have tried Thoof and Zoom and several others like Sk*rt. I get a few hits from them, but not many, maybe I should submit more and if I ever write something I think is interesting to someone other than myself, I will. I am hoping everyone is simply preparing for Thanksgiving or on the road traveling because I have noticed traffic on my beauty blog has dropped also.
I always got more traffic there than here and I really hate to think it’s because of the Google debacle of page rank and maybe they are starting to de-index everything. I’m sure other people have probably seen drops by now also. Well Izea is at least trying to make things better for bloggers everywhere not just the advertisers or posters that use them.
How great would it be if people actually knew their real rank and not just what Google decides for us? Well very soon people will be able to do just that because Social Spark which everyone has been eagerly anticipating will very soon make Google obsolete or at least I hope it stops the reign of sole ownership of the web that they have been trying to achieve.
Has Google in it’s drive for power finally overstepped it’s boundary? According to many forums and blogs that you can do a search for, it seems people are dropping their programs left and right. It’s really a very hard process to do because we have become so use to many of their top programs.
I actually think many are just saying they are not using these programs because they want to feel like they are showing unity, but who would actually know if they were, except Google of course and if they don’t see significant drops it wont affect them.
It matters not what anyone uses as far as I’m concerned because I’m sure everyone will do what they want to do anyhow. Change is good though, but it has to be something that is good and will work. On that note great luck to Izea, Social Sparks and the new wave of the future.
