A Few Thoughts About Traveling For The Holiday
Well, I do believe the initial shock wave that Google created has settled for now except for a few lynch mobs hovering here and there. People will adjust and move on with something else. There are always other alternatives for everything and pr is one less thing we have to worry about now.
Even with low pr or no pr you can still make money on the internet. Many people are still trying to figure out the exact causes though so they can improve. In my case it could be because I use bluehost and all my sites have the same ip number even though they have their own domain name, but I also use kontera and maybe Google doesn’t like them. Oh well, I’ll live and as mentioned before I have many things to be grateful and thankful for.
Bill only has to work 3 days this week then he’s off for 5 days and I always love having him around. We aren’t planning on traveling anywhere for this Thanksgiving holiday, but I’m sure a lot of people will be traveling to spend the holidays with family and friends and there are usually a few people on my list and maybe yours that you might like to avoid at least I know how my family is and not everyone gets along as well as we would like.
I always have to remind myself that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and thoughts and I simply don’t need to express mine. I always try to abstain from any issues that pertain to politics, religion and various other types of controversial topics that many people seem to gravitate toward during holidays. If Uncle Joe wants to argue about his beliefs then let him, I will listen and hold my own consul.
If you have an unresolved issue with someone that will be at the family gathering you should attempt to contact them prior to the event. This will help both of you to relieve the tension and anxiety over the situation. If it is something that can’t be resolved then ask them to agree to put your differences aside for the sake of everyone else that will be in attendance.
It doesn’t mean you have to become best friends at the event but don’t waste your energy being in conflict with the individual. Focus on the good memories that you can create for your family during the holidays instead. Too many families end up with parties missing for the gathering because they don’t want to attend if someone else is. Taking the high road so that everyone can enjoy their holiday more is an amazing gift you can give to them.
My nieces and nephews have many children and there are always upsets with the kids and hurt feelings, but for them when they get together it’s like one big wild party. To prevent issues that can and do come up because of different parenting styles each set of parents should take care of their own children during family get togethers.
It makes it so much easier on everyone if you explain and they understand before you start your trip that you expect the same behavior and rules they have at home to be followed regardless of what other children will be allowed to do. This will definitely help to prevent frustration and confusion for everyone involved.
Make sure someone is going to be in charge of activities for the children to enjoy also. Take a look at the span of age groups that will be present at the event and either come up with activities for all of them to enjoy together or break them up into groups based on age.
Make sure everyone gets to take on a role for the holiday gathering that they will enjoy. This way the overall event will be a success and everyone will look forward to attending. Don’t leave certain people to clean up from the dinner or the activities just because you assume that is what they want to do. Knowing what your role is before you travel for the holidays allows you to be prepared for it.
Also make sure to let the host know about any food allergies that someone in your family might suffer from before hand and not after you arrive that way they can be prepared for any changes in menus. Maybe you need special foods that you can arrange to pick up once you arrive. So many things to worry about when traveling so I wish everyone a safe trip and a happy holiday. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
