Bill and I went for a short bike ride today and it was chilly in the very low 50’s and the wind made it feel colder, but it was nice to blow the cob webs away. The weather around here hasn’t been bad at all for this time of year. You would think when you get into your 50’s you have more sense about how to take care of yourself, but guess what, that doesn’t always happen.

Sometimes I still think I’m a youngster until I look in the mirror and feel my tired old aching bones. If I feel half dead now I dread how I’m going to feel when I’m older, but hopefully Bill and I will still be able to ride the Harley, of course it may be a trike by then. We looked at trikes before and they run around 30 something thousand give or take.

We stopped at a place a few weeks ago and for 15 thousand they can turn our classic into a trike using a kit and put a reverse gear on. We may think about that in later years. I think it would be fun and maybe less dangerous, not sure about statistics for trikes and vehicle accidents, but I’m sure it would be safer if a deer ever jumps out when we’re riding. I guess soon we will have to put it away because of winter….brrrrrr…I don’t like cold nor do I like humid.

I see so many older riders now a days and I think that’s great. We usually only ride on the weekends and we absolutely love it. I was thinking about learning myself and I still can. Bill says he can teach me, but I’m not good with gears and that would be my only problem. Of course that would worry Bill to death me riding on my own so maybe I’ll just leave my life in Bill and Gods hands and continue to ride behind.
