Going Green With LED Lights
Christmas lights cost a lot of money and cost even more when it comes to paying those electric bills during the holidays we use them. One way we can cut down the costs especially for those that go all out with the outside decorations is to use LED lights over the standard incandescent Christmas lights. They use 1/10th of the energy and last a lot longer compared to other lights.
I did notice when I worked at the home improvement store people were becoming more energy conscious and most people are trying to go as green as possible with most things around them. With people learning more about solar energy and other ways that they can cut down on the usage and conserve as much energy as possible it only makes sense to use LED Christmas lights too and besides they are much safer because they produce less heat.
There are many ways we can improve the environment and we need to learn to recycle more, like turning off lights when you leave a room, very simple, huh? Buy the new energy saving bulbs and replace all your old ones, you’ll use 75% less energy and your pocket will thank-you when it comes time to pay the electric bill.
This holiday lets try and do something better to improve on going green. It can’t hurt and will only make things better for our environment. I reuse my grocery bags for many things around the home and there are so many ways to reuse so many things I think I’ll sit down and make myself a list of all the possible ways that I can do better for my family and my space.
