If your working from home and don’t have a work schedule then you need to make one. It’s difficult if you have children that you have to take care of so you would have to make your office hours around them, but you still need to determine when those hours will be and stick to it. That way people will know that you are serious about your work and your not just sitting around wasting time.

You need those time boundaries. It’s easier if you don’t have children to take care of. You can set regular office hours and be sure and let your friends know that you will be able to chat after work and let them know what hours your available for going out or doing other fun things. Just because you may be working from home doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t take your job just as seriously as someone working outside the home.

It’s a big issue when we feel like we’re not getting respect for what we’re doing. Many people have the perception that we aren’t working at all since we are doing it from home and that we have all the free time in the world.

As anyone knows that has worked from home it takes a lot of energy and time if you want to effectively achieve your goals and don’t forget about typing those up too and check your list everyday. We have all had friends who call all hours of the day and our spouses or mates that expect us to be doing a lot more while we’re at home and we’ve all had family members that make snide comments.

People that work from home can be hurt easily over these offhanded and snide comments. Family or even friends may say things like “you have all the time in the world now that your home” or other similar comments and you can either get upset and offer a flustered defense or you can take their comments with a grain of salt and offer a calm response.

Depending on the situation you can say something like “I know my time is limited on these days, but let me check my work schedule” or “ I usually leave time in my work schedule on Friday afternoons for those type of things.” You will of course come up with some way of conveying that your time is valuable too.

Believe me that all changes when they see you start making the money, then they want to know your secrets and get all excited about the prospect of maybe quiting their job and living the easy life you seem to be enjoying.These type of people will never understand the hard work and road you have chosen in order to get to the place you are.

They will think it’s a simple matter and that anyone can do it and if they fail at it and don’t make the money you have only started to see then you or the program will be at fault and never will they see all the dedication and hard work that really goes into the making of being a successful work at home person.

Establishing respect for your work time at home is a priority and the average person doesn’t understand all the commitment and scheduling that it takes to effectively work from home.You may never convince some people that you are actually working while your home but establishing respect for your own time is essential.

Although there are many more people learning that they can earn a living online, it’s still a new territory. Many try and fail and then just give up, but those that are determined will always find a way.

It’s very important that your spouse or mate respect what you are doing so make sure you explain everything to him/her and show them how and what you have to do and when they see the extra income that is now coming in believe me they will realize why the house might not be spotless or those home repairs and everything they thought should be done isn’t.
