I had never thought of opening an e-commerce phone card business even though I know phone cards do a big booming business. I know lots of people are looking for a business they can run from home and this seems like a doable one. Bill and I always use the prepaid cards because it’s cheaper than paying $75. a month for a cell phone plan besides we only use it for emergencies.

I will have to check it out further to see if it might be another income stream that I can use. I did see that they have a setup charge of $74.99 which includes the domain name that you choose for your business and then the cost is 19.95 a month for maintenance and hosting fees. Plus if you sign someone else up you will receive a $25.00 referral fee.

I’m not sure if this would be compared with those earlier business in a box programs because you would be able to do whatever you want with this one. This sounds more plausible as a business other than some of the other things I am currently involved in, oh well it’s certainly something I will look closer at. It could prove to be a very profitable business.

People are so tired of dealing with the outside world, I know I was, but I sometimes think I should at least start volunteering a few hours of my time a week just to keep in touch and do something good. Many people that are forced to stay at home find many ways to make money on the Internet and this looks as good if not better than many I’ve seen.

Well to me it looks like most established blogs and websites went down a notch and all new ones went up. Go figure. A lot of the bloggers that take opps from payperpost have been a little upset because the better paying opps are now out of their reach for awhile until their new program is implemented in Nov. and it really wont matter what your page rank says, it will be all about the traffic you receive.

Even though my pr went up a notch, my traffic went down. I volunteered to do beta testing for the new program and added Google analytics to my blogs and seeing the traffic decline was a wee bit bothersome. It just means that I have to regroup and come up with another plan. As I mentioned before I would much prefer the traffic.

I keep meaning to start submitting articles, but haven’t worked it into my schedule yet. I hate schedules, but they are definitely needed sometimes to stay on track. I work on a very low advertising budget so I like many others have to come up with other ideas to get traffic to my informational products now that Google really doesn’t send much traffic anymore.

A few things I think I will have to consider are listed below. I just need to pick a couple of the ideas and figure out how to implement them so that I can get things moving again or else just start writing more ads.

Giveaways would be a good idea since people love to get “free” items, especially information that can be used to gain knowledge and improve their lives. I guess I could do a promotion on something useful because I have tons of products that will do this and haven’t even run them to date. I’m sure most of you could also put together a campaign of this sort also. Giveaways are always good, but I don’t like mailing list so it would have to be for something else.

Contests would be another option which I have never done. So I would have to offer something very unique that would be worth the effort. First I need to find a contest theme that would tie into the business I am trying to promote like a caterer might offer a quiche-eating contest, a mail order craft firm might offer some sort of handicrafts contest. I have been debating a pair of my Jowell shears as a prize on my beauty blog.

I could invite contest submissions and offer prizes to the winners. I know contests attract attention and I could post a few press releases and I’m sure it would spread through the grapevine. Yes I definitely have to find ways to generate more traffic.

Coupons are a good option also because we Americans have become very coupon-conscious. I would have to test the market though and I’m not a good tester so this one I will have to think about how I can use them with various products I sell and at what level will the coupons increase the volume of various products or service lines?

Badges and Novelties can be easily and inexpensively produced and also bumper stickers, book covers, and other novelty items to give away with my website url visible
Pens with my website printed on would also be a great advertisement and I could just give them away. I really need to get more business cards printed up also.
