Over 70,000 people now write for PPP and it just keeps growing. I think a lot of bloggers were hoping to see the downfall of this program, but it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere in the near future. In fact it’s getting stronger with the new program that will be released next month. Many people have made plans to meet in Vegas for PostieCon and they will be handing out the bloggers choice awards. They are hoping to have Rosie O’donnell show up.
The program posties know as Argus will be turned loose in November, but it will have a new name and will be very powerful. Of course all the details of this program are being guarded closer than Fort Knox. Every once in awhile they let some little tidbit escape just to get everyones attention. Where as before opportunities were based on page rank and Alexa now they will be able to gauge your traffic also and better opportunities will open for those with low page rank and high traffic.
It will sort of even things out for some of the more talented writers that get lots of traffic, but have very low rankings because everyone knows the more volume you have the more chance there is that someone will be interested enough to click on something that they see on your site. Something they might have been looking for and blogging for money isn’t like Google where you get paid if someone clicks on a link. You get paid for the review of a site or product regardless if anyone clicks.
It’s very rare that when I am surfing that I see a blog that has no advertising at all. Like I’ve mentioned before even though some bloggers feel that they are above using paid to post they still use some sort of advertising to make money. I personally don’t care how anyone makes money so long as the’re not hurting anyone and we all know how to hit the back button although some sites use a program to keep you from going back where you came from and I hate when that happens so I make a note of those sites and simply close the tab.
With the way the Internet is growing it is anyones guess as to the programs that will catch on and stick around and out of all the paid to blog programs out there, I think this one is the best.
