I decided on this blogging niche before checking everything out and making sure I would be able to sustain it because it’s based on my marketing experience online and even though I have tried many things and can write about all my failures and triumphs, it’s not like I have been doing marketing of this sort all my life even though I have marketing experience in the food and hair product industry.
When looking for a blogging niche you should evaluate all aspects of blogging carefully before starting a blog. This is really important if your blogging is going to be done for the purpose of financial gain. The ideal blog subject should be about a subject that your knowledgeable and passionate, but you also need to consider your direct competition and the purpose of the blog. Hopefully this information will help bloggers that are totally new to blogging that might be thinking about starting a new blog.
Make a list of all of your interests and consider how much knowledge you have on these subjects. Are you able to speak with authority? Because it should be a subject that would require little thought to come up with a new post and be successful and believe me a blog visitor can sense a persons passion for their subject and will appreciate how knowledgeable his post are. I am finding this out more so on my beauty blog.

Regardless of subject matter you will find that there are usually some readers interested in that subject, but if your planning on making money with your blog you will want to use a niche that will bring in high amounts of traffic. So depending on the purpose of your blog, you might want to consider a subject that will appeal to many.
You will need to check the subjects you have decided on to see what type of competition there is and see if there is some way to improve on the blogs already out there. You need to make sure you will have enough information to sustain your blog and keep it fresh and interesting. With my beauty blog I am able to discuss many things because I have a cosmetology license and enjoy the subject matter. Even though The field of beauty is saturated I am still able to get a lot of traffic through Google and a lot of my keywords are ranked on the first page.
What purpose is your blog going to be used for? If your starting a blog just for your personal use and to keep in touch with long distant friends and family then your not likely to be interested in high volumes of traffic. If your starting a blog because you expect to monetize and generate a profit or your trying to promote a certain cause then you will want to consider a subject that will be appealing to a much larger audience and you will be trying to generate as much traffic as possible. As I mentioned above you should try not to pick a subject that is over saturated because it will certainly be more difficult to get traffic for a new blog. I was lucky with my new blog. I guess most importantly would be the quality of your blog, I find I am always trying to improve and make changes and I always appreciate suggestions because I don’t know if something is horrible unless someone tells me. You should choose a subject that you are confident about and you can make regular posts that will be interesting and share solid information that can be useful and if at all possible make it original.
