A Few Things To Remember When Starting A New Job

All situations or events in our life that are unfamiliar to us and cause a transition or change any habits can cause havoc with our emotions and cause undo stress with our mental and physical being. That being said, starting a new job or changing your career can be very draining and stressful for anyone.

I know in my lifetime I have gone through many changes so I know first hand how hard it can be. When starting a new job you need to be alert so your able to think clearly and be able to make decisions and carry them out with energy. You will likely be on probation for the first 90 days till you prove yourself and knowing that will cause a stressful feeling.

If you know what your going into before you start you can work on adapting your mental state to meet this challenge and make the transition easier. Every job I have ever had, the whole process has made me physically sick from all the stress.

I like to show by example so I was never good at telling people what to do. I worked as both waitress and bartender at one restaurant for 20 years and was given the responsibility of training them, both waitresses and bartenders, plus I was forced to fire a couple of people which wasn’t in my job description nor was I paid for assuming the role as manager. Working with the public is very stressful in itself, but to have to let someone go because my boss was a coward caused me to seek a career change.

When starting any new endeavor be prepared for feelings of fear and uncertainty and your personal life will need adjusting depending on the shift and hours you are expected to work. Your first priority will be to learn and get the lay of the land. Never be afraid to ask questions regardless if you think someone might think your stupid and if need be ask your questions over and over until you learn. This is where that energy and focus will come in handy.

A good boss will communicate well with their employees so you will know exactly what is expected of you and if they don’t then you should initiate some form of communication so everything is clear and do try to get to know your boss. You can learn transferable skills from any position you hold so never consider any job as dead end, the more skills you can develop the more you can offer if you ever change positions. Do your very best on every job so you can develop good references.

5 necessary skills for job survival are punctuality and that means in all things, getting to work on time, returning on time from breaks and lunch, your attendance at meetings, appointments and always make sure you plan ahead encase you need some other form of transportation.

Quality means how well you perform your job in all areas to keep the product up to standard or better so the consumer will be happy and buy more. Your company will not grow if the quality is bad so take pride in your job.

Productivity - You are paid by a company to produce a certain amount of work so it is best to develop a positive attitude and avoid any circumstances that would limit your ability to perform the duties that are expected. Production is always the end result for any company.

The ability to get along with fellow employees, the public, and supervisors is very important. You are always being evaluated by your actions so be cooperative, courteous, and show good work ethics. Steer clear of any problematic employees and be careful of the things you do and how you do them.

Loyalty is truly appreciated and valued by the employer and is usually rewarded. It encompasses all of the above skills. When you are working toward the common goal of improving your place of employment, you are not only making it better for the employer, but for everyone around you including yourself.

Do A Rapid Search For Music, Games And Dvd’s

Too bad I didn’t find this site RapidSearch before I purchased my last dvd because they have a collection of music, games, and dvd’s all organized in alphabetical order and below wholesale. They also have software at reasonable prices too.

I could have bought Wild Hogs new for $11.88 and I paid $20 something and that was at Walmart prices. I didn’t think it was worth what we paid for it. I was expecting it to be hilarious and we wanted our own copy so we could watch it whenever, but it was only mildly entertaining and hokey.

We like to ride on the weekends and we normally watch anything with motorcycles in it. I found 4 Orange County Chopper dvd’s and it’s one of our favorite shows because we love to watch them build the bikes and we think Paul Jr is cool. The old man is irritating though.

They were at a bike event we went to a couple years ago and people stood in line for hours to get an autograph. I like them, but not that much. They had their cool choppers on display and we enjoyed seeing those. The dvd’s are reasonable priced so I guess I’ll ask Bill tomorrow if he wants me to order them.

So You Think You Want To Be An Entrepreneur ?

So you think you want to be an entrepreneur? I know that’s what I wanted to be and I have worked so hard,This is my 4th year and I’m still here, not with blogging I’ve only been blogging since Dec, but selling info products and doing affiliate marketing. I have taken advise from many gurus and I’m still not wealthy. I had so many dreams and I’m sure you do or did too, but you do realize that there is a minority that actually creates real wealth.

I have tried visualization and other mind psychs, I know that stuff works, but sometimes it happens way down the road and some people get beat up pretty bad on the Internet and lose their dreams of being an entrepreneur and go back to that ho-hum life of 9 to 5 just to pay their bills.

Usually when we start an online business we are thinking about making money of course, but do you have other motives, such as trying to fill an actually need and help people? People that are trying to sell you a system are supplying a need and that would be yours, because your desperate to make money, but the only people making money with these systems are the people selling them.

Have you done any research into any niches yourself or are you just taking someone elses word for it and buying their products hoping you’ll get lucky?
If you can come up with a product idea and know how to market it then you could make money, but it will have to be something unique in my opinion because it seems like the market is so saturated with the same products over and over with different packaging. If you can fulfill a need for your customers then you will make money.

It takes more than just the desire to make money, it takes a plan and goal and it is not smooth sailing just because you decide your going to do. It takes focus and determination and staying power. Many people throw in the towel after a few months because it didn’t go the way that they thought it would. You really do need to be focused and ignore all the business opportunities, money making programs and all the scams and hype that is advertised.

Believe me many people are disillusioned every day. It’s everywhere just visit any forum and all you hear are the problems people are having trying to make money from the Internet. So if your starting a business just for the money do not believe the hype of getting rich over night because it just doesn’t happen.

Being an entrepreneur takes a lot of time and effort. The minority of the truly wealthy did not achieve that over night, but most started when it was young and it seemed to be easier then. I often wish I had started in the beginning when everything was new, but I had no desire to even have a personal computer until 1998.I’m still catching up on obsolete stuff, but now a days, (just check your in-box) what’s hot today is cold tomorrow.
