Violent Crimes Against Our Loved Ones

Monday night my niece was attacked in her home. She is 37 years old and did not lock her door. They live out more in the country than I do and maybe they just feel safer there. She was asleep on the couch and my sister and the other people of the household were asleep upstairs.

This man entered while she was asleep on the couch and stabbed her in the shoulder and then slashed her throat. Thank God his aim wasn’t perfect and she was treated and released Tuesday evening. I do not know all the circumstances because my family and I are not that close, but she did call our brother and he called me.

From what I understand from all the news reports on TV they are looking for a heavy set man with a baseball cap and fatigue pants around 6 feet tall and Caucasian. I come from a very dysfunctional family and we are not very close, but dammit that’s blood and violence is not acceptable.

We think these things can’t happen to us and our family, but they do and it is happening more and more. What do we do to combat these violent crimes against our loved ones? How do we change the system to take care of us and the people we love?

I am not great with lobbying, but I may just change my mind. There is war every where and not just in Iraq. We see it in our streets and we have to do something to change it. I know people are working everyday to help our nation and it’s a great nation we live in. but just a handful can’t change anything. We have to work together.

Learning How To Hook Up A New Printer

I just bought the Photosmart 3 in one by hp. It was on sale yesterday at Staples. I looked at Walmart of course and tried something they had on sale and it was horrible, well what do you expect you get what you pay for. I had to return it and stood in line for a good 45 minutes. Well they just don’t make things the way they use to.

I thought this is great because you can use it without your pc, but I need to adjust pictures sometimes and I can’t do that on this one, but for 100 dollars it was a great deal. I can resize and the pictures look great, but I need the ability to use the scanner because I promised my son I would put all his pics from childhood on a cd.

I had so many problems trying to hook this up to my pc even though it is the same brand name. It totally refused to accept the usb connection even though I followed all directions. I have never been so frustrated. I even downloaded the drivers from their site and reinstalled everything 50 times in everyway I could think of. Finally today when I uninstalled the other printer I had been using and adjusted the pc to ignore the signing of drivers it finally worked.

I am not very technical, but I never give up on any project until I am so exhausted that I can’t think anymore and that is the way I am with everything. I will try any solution that is available to see if I can make something work, that goes for personal and business relationships also. Do or Die Trying!
