I’m Not An Expert, But I Know A Few Things About A Lot Of Things

Will Certain Colors Influence Your Buying?

As I mentioned last night according to the free analyzing tool I use I have no pages listed in Google. It’s even 0 in the supplemental although my page ranks haven’t changed yet. I have been receiving more and more traffic to all my sites the last few days especially from Google.

I don’t claim to be an expert with any of this stuff and I’m starting to believe that no one else is either. Things seem to change so much from day to day that even the experts don’t know what will happen next, sure they can predict certain things and make a hypothesis because of trends they have seen and been a part of and have studied human nature and know which color triggers which responses , do you know those colors and what they represent and how we as consumers react to them?

I am going to list some of these colors now :

  • Black stands for elegance, sophistication, seduction and mystery.
  • White stands for peace, pure, clean, mild and youthful.
  • Gold stands for prestige, luxury and elite.
  • Silver stands for prestige, scientific and cold.
  • Yellow stands for warmth, happiness and cheer.
  • Orange stands for warmth, playfulness, and vibrant.
  • Red stands for love, excitement, strength, passion, and danger.
  • Pink stands for nurture, sweet, soft, and security.
  • Green stands for nature, fresh, fertility and abundance.
  • Blue stands for cool, trust, belonging and reliability and has a relaxing effect.
  • And lastly Purple stands for spiritual, royalty, and dignity.

Black, blue, red and orange attract impulsive buyers. Smart shoppers are attracted to pink, light blue and navy blue colors and advertisers spend lots of money for this information in order to plan their strategies of what to sell to whom.

I’m sure you have noticed that advertisements for children have bright and vibrant colors. Yellow, red, blue and green, which are the primary colors, are the colors, which attract children and that’s why parents buy those colors for their kids. These colors represent warmth, sweetness, trust, reliability, playfulness and security.

Color has always been used to tempt and trigger our impulses into doing certain things maybe now is the time to take a closer look. We know how color makes us feel at home and it really can affect our behavior and buying habits. The studies have been done and the evidence is in.

Nothing Much About Anything

Today I simply feel like talking about the weather. It’s been so hot and humid here the past couple days. My poor little stray cat Stalker and my Eskie Shadow have lost their appetite. My flowers are drying up even though I water them and this blog is boring me to death or maybe I’m just tired. Well I am getting old and senile, boy if all that doesn’t sound like a bunch of crock I don’t know what does.

Actually I have been enjoying writing posts for my new blog. Since I did go to beauty school and spent all that money I figure I ought to be doing something with the education so I am and since it’s actually something I loved doing, it’s fun…well most of it was.

I haven’t minded posting here about my marketing experiences, but sometimes you just run out of things to say or at least I do. I have found marketing and everything that it entails a very hard and competitive business. People are so right when they advise you to find your niche and hopefully it is about something you know and love.

It’s really weird because that blog has been up for 10 days and I’ve received more traffic from Google for that one in 10 days as opposed to this one for a whole month. Weird ! I have also noticed the past couple weeks from a link popularity tool I use that the pages listed in google are none and that’s scary. elixirsystems.com/tools/linkpopularity.php in case you want to try it and see how many pages are in yahoo, msn, and google.

I’m going to bed, I’m tired.
