If your looking for a specific type of product and you have done your comparison shopping already and weighed the pros and cons of the product, but are still undecided what do you do next? Curb the buying impulse and do the research. I personally look for promotional codes where I can get it the cheapest and I also look for a few reviews about the product I am interested in. Word of mouth is always the best form of advertising as far as I’m concerned, but you may not always have that.

There are a lot of sites that offer reviews and it can be a very helpful process if there is something you are interested in and someone can supply information about different products. Some people are under the impression that if you are being paid to write reviews you are biased for that company. In some cases this is true, but not always. Usually these companies like knowing of any problems so they can fix the issues.

I have seen lots of online retailers that provide product reviews that offer some form of compensation and also consumer product reviews where people have used the product and liked it and sent in there opinion just because they appreciated what the product could do. Any kind of information is useful for you the shopper. You make any final decision, you are not stupid. I like reading reviews whither they are paid or not.There should always be a disclosure so you will know and you can decide for yourself if it was useful.

We the consumers have grown very skeptical about paid reviews online which is understandable. What about offline? I have never considered myself a gullible person…Well sometimes, but I know all those nascar drivers don’t use all the products plastered all over their cars. The sponsor is paying to have his name branded and the more someone sees the name the better it is for his products.

I do sponsored ads and I do not consider them as reviews. I am selling advertising space on my site and showing their name and they get a link very cheaply plus it gives me a chance to practice writing which I desperately need. I do not have to say anything great about anything. I consider that easy money marketing.

Just because 50 affiliate marketers are sending me glowing reviews of the latest product and urging me to get it doesn’t mean I have to, but I do appreciate the insights and if I decide it’s something I can use I will consider it, but I always do my research. I never just take anyones word for anything because there is always pros and cons for any product.

Marketers know they have to gain your trust in order to sell anything and this is true both online and off. Impulse buying is not good, but there are a lot of great copywriters that know exactly which buttons to push in order to make us jump right in. Always weigh everything before making a final purchase and find out what your guarantees are.
