Do you sell niche products online? Do you find it difficult to compete with e-bay pricing. I sell niche products on one of my sites and sometimes I do okay, but I don’t think I will get rich with these products.
At one point I belonged to a site that produced these products for their members. They try to put a limit on the price lowering, but people go so low and practically give them away so it’s hard to make any money. I soon realized the only people making decent money was the owner that was having these niche products created.
Even though they are good information products the market for said products are getting over saturated because of the number of people with the same products. I eventually closed my membership because I wasn’t making a profit. I will at sometime in the future find a way to make that site pay for itself, but I really don’t have the time right now.
There are some good articles listed there about Profiting in the Info Product Business and it’s true you can make money with informational products, but it seems to me they need to be your own unique products. That way you can control and set your own price because no one can undercut you then.
I have belonged to several membership sites for several different things and it’s great if you get unrestricted private label rights because then you can totally create something new from those products and make them unique.
