Mold Remediation For New Yorkers

Okay now this is something I can relate to because we have an unfinished basement and I noticed the inside walls are not looking so good of late. I really haven’t noticed mold, but I definitely know we have to get our basement done soon.

I hate going down there because in certain spots it gets muddy and when I was looking at opportunities to post about I ran across this one for American Waterproofing and mold remediation and it reminded me of my problem basement. The only problem for me is that I live in PA and these people are based in New York and they serve these areas: Nassau and Suffolk counties and all five boroughs of New York City, including the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island.

So if you live in any of the above mentioned areas and you think you might have deadly mold you might want to consider checking with this company they have 20 years of experience. I noticed that they have a $500 dollar discount coupon for any new clients. All you have to do is print it out and present it when they do the inspection.

I know we need a basement floor put in and I know I need it waterproofed, but we just keep putting it off. Just like we humans to put things off till disaster strikes. What’s that old saying An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure? Or something to that effect. Bill has asthma so I’m sure that will improve once we finish the basement it can’t be good if there is something down there being blown up through the vents.

Independence Day

Can you believe it’s almost the fourth of July? Our Independence Day on July 4th, 1776 when we adopted The Declaration of Independence and separated ourselves from Great Britain. We are a great and powerful nation and welcome everyone with open arms.

Everyone will be celebrating with fireworks and cookouts and parades. The fireworks have already started where I live around the neighborhood. The kids are getting anxious to party and have fun.

It comes as no surprise that Americans are filled with courage and valor. It took courage to conquer this wild land and spread the American way of life from sea to sea when America was becoming a nation. It took courage for immigrants, with little more than the clothes on their back and a dream to come to this country and start with nothing to achieve the American dream.

Courage is as much a part of America as apple pie, hot dogs and baseball. We see it every day in small acts of courage and valor all across this nation and the world. We read a lot of negatives on the Internet and in the newspapers about our country, but never forget what a privilege it is to live here.

O beautiful for spacious skies,
for amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee.
And crown thy good with brotherhood
from sea to shining sea!

Those are beautiful words aren’t they and every proud American sings them with Love and Gratitude to live in a land so great. I am very happy and proud to call The United States of America my home. I hope everyone will have a safe and happy 4th of July.
