Blue Organizer Firefox Extension / Social Meter Tool

I just downloaded the Blue Organizer Firefox extension from adaptiveblue.com. It’s suppose to make smartlinks that look like regular links except when you right click it gives you shortcuts to other related services and sites. Sounds very useful.

I was told that it might slow down my browsers performance. However you can organize your browser with the sites you view online. I’m gonna test it at any rate to see if I like it. I don’t know if I like the idea of my browsing habits being studied. I can always remove it if I don’t like it.

They also have a very useful tool that I found when I was checking the Apogee blog. It’s called the social meter and it scans the social websites to see how popular your blog is. It will show you how many links you have pointing back at you from Bloglines, Del.icio.us, Digg, Google, Rojo, Shadows,Technorati and Yahoo My Web. You can also drag the bookmarklet to your browser and check any site you are visiting. socialmeter I love finding cool tools and sharing.

I Love Finding Great Blogs and Apogee Search Has One

Apogee Search has a great blog that is an expert source if you want to know more about search engine marketing. They give you all the latest news and inform you about upcoming events.

Adwords IP Exclusion tool was explained so that even I could understand it. I tried adwords once, but it proved way to expensive for me, but I still like to try and understand everything that is going on. I may not use a marketing firm, but I sure did learn a lot from their blog.

If your planning on using search engine marketing you might want to check these people for a free sem analysis for your business. At any rate check their blog and keep updated and informed. I noticed Matt Cutts is on the blogroll and I found a few other good sources that I didn’t know about. I’ll tell you one thing it pays in more ways than one to do sponsored ads. They only wanted my opinion, but I gave them a thumbs up at Stumble.

Check the Top Yahoo Rankings they have achieved for their clients, looks impressive.

Give A Little Praise

It is so easy to tell other people how to do something and expect them to do it and stand back and point out everything they are doing wrong, but if the shoe is on the other foot and you are standing behind that same critical person while they are showing you believe me when under pressure they don’t do so good either.

What’s my point you may be asking. I love the expression, ” Never criticise until you’ve walked a mile in someone else’s shoes” and You’ll catch more flies with honey than vinegar.”

If you give the tiniest amount of praise instead of negativity you will definitly get more accomplished. Everyone likes to feel appreciated and worthy. We all have self doubt at times and all we need is a little kindness and an encouraging word to make us feel better.

Show someone something by example not by pointing them out and making them feel stupid and resentful. This might make you feel superior, but it doesn’t do much good for the other person. It’s too easy for us to pick someone else apart instead of looking at ourselves. I always try to live by the the golden rule “Do unto others as you would have done unto you.”
