Are You A Great Marketer?
Well I cannot say I am a great marketer, but I try hard. It seems I have been marketing myself most of my life. I don’t like giving up so I keep moving ahead even though sometimes it seems everything is stacked against me, I still hang in there.
As far as I’m concerned there is only so much a person can write about concerning online marketing. Of course there are lots of topics, but those topics are covered by experts that have much more experience than myself.
I blog about things I have done and about some of my sites. Lately I have been joining communities and meeting a lot of nice people. Places like My Space, My Blog Log, Blog Catalog, Stumble, and Others Online. I have also joined Pay Per Post to monetize this blog, but I really haven’t found anything that I can use from there yet. I also joined Blogsvertise and made 5.00. There seems to be a lot of opportunities opening up to make money with blogs.
I personally don’t see any reason why people shouldn’t make money with their blogs. People are affiliates for lots of programs and marketers don’t seem to care how many e-mails they send you a week all the same just different names. I have a small list on one of my sites, but I just can’t keep up with everything and besides I hate trying to shove products on people unless I know they work.
From talking with other people it seems the biggest problem is getting traffic. People spend lots of money for targeted traffic, but unless you know how to convert that traffic it really doesn’t do much good. I know for myself I am going to have to start writing some articles, that seems to be the best way to receive free traffic and polishing up those socializing skills. It boggles the mind at how many actual websites there are out there and how hard people work to actually make money online. If you don’t give up the dream it will eventually happen.
