Setting Goals
Are you just a dreamer or do you have goals set. Did you sit down and make a list of where you want to be next year or 5 years from now? Setting goals is a very significant part of achieving your success. It’s very important to keep in mind your present circumstances and what you are capable of. Remember not to set your goals too high to start. You need to stay motivated and be able to see progress.
By setting goals you will have a blueprint to follow or a map of where you actually need to be in order to reach your goals, this way you can chart your progress and see if you are actually getting closer to your dream or if you need to double your efforts at times to get closer.
It will help you stay motivated and gain confidence when you can actually see your progress. Setting goals means that you are proactive and when faced with challenges that might affect your plans you have already weighed possible difficulties and have allowed for such problems that might arise and have solutions already outlined.
Remember not to set your goals too low because you might lose your vision. Always set realistic goals. Just because you dream of being a surgeon doesn’t mean you can jump right in and handle a scapel. You have to learn first, but it is something you can work toward and achieve. Always have a time frame in mind when setting your goals and always remember to give yourself a pat on the back when you reach those mile stones on your map.
