Do You Have A System ?

It totally amazes me that everyone has a system and everyone is pushing a plan. A system or plan that will make you rich “NOT”. The only person that will get rich is the person with the system.

I do agree that you need to plan and focus, but just because someone else is doing good with their system doesn’t mean you will. After reading “Day Job Killer” I have come to the conclusion that I am not a hardcore marketer. I work hard, but I’m not that savvy.

I sometimes get discouraged, but I keep right on pushing ahead. I make alot of mistakes and there is so much to learn. I sometimes wish I was young again just so I would have all these years ahead of me to learn. (But Not Often)

Bill and I love to ride our Harley on the weekend, but he always needs a destination and that’s good. He likes to stay focused and plan, where as I really don’t care where we end up, I just love the ride. I know where I want to end up with my marketing and I try to stay focused, but I defintely am enjoying the ride.

I doubt very seriously if I will ever come up with a system, but I defintely have a plan.

    Hey Jude! :)

    Don’t believe the DJK hype:

You don’t need a ’system’ but here is a plan:

Create a site about something you are interested in - keep adding good quality content on a regular basis. Get listed in Yahoo and get links to your site from other good quality sites that cover the same topic. Add a few affiliate links in your content (don’t go crazy!) Only add an affiliate link to a product or service you genuinely rate very highly. Add Google adsense to the site. Be honest at all times. Keep adding content regularly (that’s why you need to choose a subject you are really interested in!). Of course there are some subjects which cannot really be ‘monetized’ but use common sense - there are affiliate programs and adsense advertisers for most subjects. Aim to become the best (or one of the best) sites on the web about your chosen subject (Check out the competition before you start). Start a newsletter for your site. Never spam your users, offer them the same quality of helpful and interesting content you provide on your site. Resist the temptation to continously sell things to your users.

You should make money - it will take time, it will take effort, but if you are honest and work hard the rewards should follow.

P.S. And stay away from the ‘gurus’!

    Max,
Thank-You for your comments. Sounds like sound advice to me.
There are alot of good people out there that are willing to help others and it’s much appreciated.
I watch the gurus, but don’t always agree with their tactics or advice.
    Thanks again…..Jude
