Turn Off Phrases
Saturday, January 27th, 2007When I see this term used on any sales copy even though I might have been interested in buying their product, I immediately flee the salespage. “This is a No-Brainer” What exactly does this term mean?
Well to me it infers that the product is so simple to use that you don’t have to have a brian to use it and since I do have a brain I figure I don’t need it. I take it as an insult. It seems to be the copywriters catch phrase to sell a product now a days.
If I can’t use my brain to figure out a products usefulness to me, then I certainly don’t need them telling me that I’m stupid if I don’t buy their product. That is a big turn off for me.
