Coincidence Of A Name

Monday, January 15th, 2007

Tell me what the chances are that one man would fall in love with 2 women with the same name, at least first and middle name the same and spelt the same. The age is different and they were born in different states.

Well I don’t know what the odds would be, but I find it weird that my name and Bill’s ex-wife are the same. I can see the first name, but not both because I was involved with another Bill a long time ago.

Are we attracted by certain names? Do certain names just sound better together and automatically align themselves together. Just an odd thought that strikes me every now an then.

Blogging For Money

Monday, January 15th, 2007

If you already spend a fair amount of time blogging, money may come to you literally as soon as you ask for it. Once you have an established blog with a regular readership, it is easy to turn a profit through advertising. By hosting sponsored links or banners, you can see income from your hobby almost overnight. Even if you did not start your blog intending to turn a profit, making supplementary income from your blog may be easier than you think.

Someday I will make money with my blog. It doesn’t have to be right now, but I intend to build this one up over a period of time. I have only recently become interested in blogging. I have read many books on this subject and realize in the long run it will help my business.

Of course, even for people who have spent months or years blogging, money from advertising revenue may not add up to a large sum. The amount of money that you can make as a blogger depends on a lot of different factors, but perhaps the most important element  is the topic of your blog.

If your blog is on a subject that appeals to a demographic that advertisers have a strong desire to reach, you will be more likely to be able to turn a large profit on your blog than if your blog is on a fairly obscure subject that does not draw the kind of audience that advertisers need to appeal to.

Of course, the only way to find out where you fall on this spectrum is to try hosting some ads. If you are already blogging, you have nothing to lose, but don’t over do it. Go slow.
