I usually tell people that I’m not a marketer and when I state that it means that I have only been into online marketing for a couple years not since the beginning. I would be totally wealthy by now if I had been.

Someone recently pointed out to me that I have always been into marketing and infact that is true. It started years ago when I discovered that you had to present yourself in a certain way in order to be popular and have friends.

I was actually marketing myself and over the years I see that I am still doing that, but it is much harder on the Internet because you can’t be seen unless you use video and audio and for some that is not an option. Why? You may ask. Some people do not have the technology and some just don’t have the assurance that they will look the part on video.

I’m not an ugly person, but I look dreadful on video and pictures. Just like being a movie star the camera angles are never right for me and besides those of us on a budget have to watch our bandwidth and other factors. So how do we gain online trust? Well, we visit forums and answer questions semi intelligently, we blog, we publish articles to article sites, that we write ourselves or we buy..Make sure you edit them and change the wording to your own.

Many people don’t change them at all. They summit the same articles that hundreds are sending in, hoping they get theirs in first. Usually it takes a couple weeks to have your article approved. If you use copyscape you can easily find duplicate sites or articles.

I use alot of private label articles because it just makes sense to me. There are very few people that know everything about everything. Most are like me and know alot about somethings and a little bit about everything else. On my personal sites if they sound right, I don’t edit much, but if you summit them please change them.

I have tried lots of different advertising, but I can’t spend zillions so I have to budget and find the very best that is affordable.
