   I am moving to PA from CO and am having a very difficult time finding a cleaning and disinfecting guide as well as a handbook including the list of required materials

   Dear Judy,
   Thank you so much for all this info about our licenses. I think it illustrates the need for a National Certification, instead of state by state. People move around this great country of ours and all this is expensive! Waiting is horrible because you can’t even apply for a job.

   i graduated beauty school in august 05 i took my test 2 times after that and now its been 4 yrs since i havent took a test or anything is it to late…

   hello igot my cosmetology license in illinios and the cosmetology teacher lisense i put then in an inactive state moved to greece i maintain a salon for 18 years how do i renew my cosmetology license?can i take an cosmetology exam on line from abroad? whats the procedure? thank you

   Hi,
   I just graduated from high school and I took my written part of my cosmetology test, and I was wondering if there is a time limit to be able to take my practical part! I live in texas andneed to know so I dont have to take my classes over again! Thank you.

   I am currently in beauty school and live in Virginia. I am wondering the same thing as Kenika, does having a felony automatically disqualify you from being able to be a licensed cosmetologist?    Jude i have a question.. live in texas, i graduated from high school 2010 and i took my cosmetology course in high school during my junior and senior year. We were required to clock in 1000 hours and the school was goin to give us 500 hours free after finishing the 1000, because our state requires to have 1500 hours..so i was done with all my hours when i graduated. My question is can the extra 500 hours that were given to me be expired at any time? I kept failin my written test..is it too late to re take my test 2 years now that have passed?

    If you have completed the 1,500 hours of education required to become a licensed Operator and your school has submitted your hours to TDLR, you will be mailed an eligibility postcard for the Practical examination. This post card provides you with information on how to schedule for your exam. You do not need the post card in hand to schedule for your exam. You can also visit our website to review your eligibility at http://www.license.state.tx.us/CosmoDataSearch.

    19. How many times can I retake the exam? – NEW!
    The written and practical examination eligibilities do not expire. Therefore you may retake your exam until you successfully pass the examination.

    I’m a cosmetologist and license. I took my instructor hrs years ago but didnt go to state board. Can I take state board now or do I have to take coarse over? I’m from Mi.
