Hi, I want to work part time in Florida and Alabama. I live on the state line in Alabama. I want to keep my clients in Alabama and work part time in Florida also. Can I have dual License.

I graduated from cosmetology school in IL in Dec 2008. I never took my state boards due to the financial situation at the time. With years past, I am deeply regretting not taking my exam and would love to be able to and finally work as a cosmetologist. What are the next steps that I can take?

Hi,

I currently hold a Hairstylist license in the state of Colorado. I am thinking of moving to Illinois, however am confused by the process since it doesn’t seem Illinois has just a Hairstylist program,just full Cosmetology.

I am having a tough time finding an answer to this question anywhere. Does it seem as though I will have to take classes in Illinois to become a full Cosmetologist? Thanks so much for your help, greatly appreciate it.

If you have 1500 and your moving to NY your good to go they are only 1000 it’s usually when your state is less.

I have my license in Cosmetology from the state of Alabama (1500 hours?) moving to NY. Is there a chance I can transfer my credentials to NY

I will be finish with my 1500 hours in texas soon but would like to know if I take my test here when I move too louisiana will I have to take the test again.

Hi I have license Manicure license in Ohio and Florida, thinking moving to South Carolina or New Jersey. Anyone know if I can just transfer my license or do I have to take the test.

Andrea C/ You will not be able to just take a test, in fact you will have to acquire more hours to take their exams. You should contact that board and find out precisely what you need to do.
