Hello, I currently hold professional license in 3 states California, Georgia & Nevada. I've held my California license for 15 yrs, Geogia for 11 yrs and Nevada for a few months. I'm looking for a state that would reciprocate my barbers licenses and 20 yrs experiences as a stylist in the entertainment indusrty for a cosmetology license? Is there one and can you point me in the direction of that state?

Thank you

Hi I live in CA I went to cosmetology school and graduated in 2007. I completed my 1600 hours but I never took my state board exam. Do I still qualify to take the test? Are the state board procedures the same as back in 2007? I know there's a new Miladys book so should I get the book and study off of that? Please help!!

Hi, I'm finishing up school in AZ. with the required 1600 hours. I want to move to California immediately after school and take the California exam. I called a school in California to ask about taking a course to learn the California exam procedures. She told me that California licensing is now an international license and there are less procedures to the testing than in the past, she also told me that I would just need to get a tutor to pass the test. I'm wondering if you have any input on the direction I should take in order to go about getting tutoring and if what she said about the testing procedures are accurate? Thank you!

Hi I have a question about Cosmetology examination in Michigan.
I registered on 1-6-2011 and I took my practical test on 1-4-2012 after passing my practical test I registered to take my Theory examination 1-5-2012 which is next day. I failed my theory exam and now i have to retake it. but they are not letting me retake it since my eligibility expired 1-6-2012. I called State of MI and they looked through my files and they told me if i passed my practical before my expiration date, i have a whole year to take my theory and pass it. Is this true or does this mean i have to re-take my practical and theory test all over again?

Thank you.
