Business Idea / Temporary Airbrush Tattoos

jude8753 | Beauty Misc | Tuesday, 01 December 2009

People are always looking for ideas for a business venture that will make money. Have you considered body art or temporary airbrush tattoos? This would be great for tanning salons or beauty shops could offer this as a side service. Anyone actually could learn to do this because the company above provides all the information needed to learn their system. They also provide financing for all their systems and show you how to set up in a mall and for special events. They provide phone support for any problems that might arise.

Because there is no middle man and delivered direct to you it is below wholesale cost. I checked their site and found a lot of useful information. They even have a forum to provide help from other entrepreneurs. Now I must admit I have thought of getting a tattoo in the past, but have always chickened out. Bill said he would take me to get a feather this weekend, but I don’t think so. I don’t like needles. I would however try the airbrush tats. It says on their site that they last for 2 weeks, but can be removed if you don’t want it that long.

For more interesting information you can check their site and see if it’s something that might appeal to you for a business venture. Children and teenagers would probably love it. They also have body crystals and spray tanning systems. Just an idea for some of you entrepreneurs to consider.

Using Personal Mastery For Effective Communication

jude8753 | Beauty Misc | Thursday, 11 June 2009

Personal mastery is about approaching life from a different perspective.  Sometimes people refer to it as a journey towards continuous improvement.  Personal  mastery is guided with key principles like vision, personal purpose, creative tension, commitment to truth and understanding the subconscious mind. Applying personal mastery in a person’s life can make dramatic and great changes.

Personal mastery helps a person develop themselves and be able to interact effectively with other people. It could actually help you become successful in life.  The great thing about personal mastery is that it helps an individual develop  healthy communication with their inner self and at the same time reflect this change in how they interact with others.

They say that communication is the most important source of power.  Many businesses and organizations have all but collapsed because of many failures due to poor communication between business executives and employers. Employees show high burn-out and stress levels, dissatisfied and disengaged employees.

To achieve effective communication, it is important to increase and attain personal mastery.  To increase personal mastery would mean change in attitude and perspective.  It is important for leaders and organizations to maintain openness to engage their colleagues, employees and customers.

Communication is an important part of relationship building.  The most important relationship is our relationship with our inner self.  Therefore, communication with the inner self should be maintained.  How we communicate with our inner self determine how we communicate with others.

Positive thinking and reinforcement would help us deal with difficulties better.  For example, if we believe something then those beliefs can either limit or be beneficial for us.  A positive inner dialogue would project a more positive and supportive communication with others.

Personal and career mastery can help a person improve their growth and development and succeed in their chosen field. Effective communication is not determined how well we speak in front of many people or how well we write documents, effective and good communication relies on how well people have understood us and how we expressed ourselves.

An example of maintaining effective communication is giving feedback or constructive criticism. We should be able to give and receive criticisms openly.  Aside from that, when giving feedback we should take into consideration our emotions.  Dealing and taking care of emotions is one of the methods that personal mastery can achieve.  Aside from that, personal mastery also helps an individual to look at things objectively.

Effective communication with the help of personal mastery can assist with the following:

• Effective problem solving. Since you would be able to communicate to your employers and co-employees about the real issues and problems, this can lead to a deeper understanding of the problem.  A deeper understanding could lead to quicker and more effective problem solving.

• Effective leadership.
For a leader to set direction and influence the team and the organization, he or she should be able to develop better communication with them.  Criticisms should be given as a form of suggestion and should serve as support not as chastisement.

• Effective planning.
Planning involves understanding the mission, vision, and the goal of an individual, department or organization.  Planning should be guided by the guiding principles of the group. However people may have a different approach to everything, it is important to properly communicate with each other to create and draw up an effective plan.

• Effective organizational development.
Personal mastery is not only about  personal and professional development and growth.  An improvement in the personal and professional path of a person can have significant effects on the improvement of the group or organization.

Panic Attacks/Triggers

jude8753 | Beauty Misc | Friday, 03 April 2009

A panic attack may happen once without any problem or complications. And there’s almost no reason to be concerned if you have one or two episodes. But those who have experienced several episodes usually develop a panic disorder.

Listed below are some triggers that may cause panic attacks and they may have different effects on different people. It may only take one trigger to cause a panic attack while someone else may require several triggers in order to literally lose it.

It’s also important to note that some symptoms of panic attacks may also be a sign of other medical conditions. So it’s important to precisely pinpoint the cause of the symptoms in order to know which type of treatment is necessary.

Phobia – People who are exposed to certain situations or objects they are afraid of will often experience a panic attack.

Passiveness –  Evidence supports the idea that passiveness as a result of fear (sometimes unexplained), low self-esteem and self-confidence is consistent with a person experiencing episodes of panic attack.

Hyperventilation syndrome – Mouth breathing and over-breathing or exhaling more carbon dioxide with respect to the amount of oxygen in the bloodstream can result in symptoms including dizziness, lightheadedness, and rapid heartbeat. These symptoms, in turn trigger panic attacks.

Benzodiazepines – Drugs such as benzodiazepines are prescribed to treat the symptoms of panic attacks.  Usually, the patient finds relief within 30 minutes after taking this drug. However, benzodiazepines are highly addictive and sometimes a rebound effect is common (a panic attack triggered by withdrawing from the drug).

Medications – There are certain drugs such as fluoroquinolone type antibiotics and Ritalin (methylphenidate) with panic attacks listed as a side effect. Attacks may be temporary, usually occurring when a patient begins medication but may continue occurring even if the patient is already accustomed to the drug.

Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors or SSRIs boost the level of serotonin in the brain which regulates and normalizes emotions. However, intake of SSRIs can increase anxiety at the beginning of use. Panic attacks may even be more frequent for patients who wean on and off the medications

Biological causes – post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, Wilson’s disease, pheochromocytoma, hypoglycemia, mitral valve prolapse and labyrinthitis (inner ear disturbances) can manifest through panic attack. Vitamin B deficiency from periodic depletion because of parasitic infection from tapeworm or due to inadequate diet can trigger panic attacks.

Heredity – Children, whose parents have been found to suffer from panic disorder, are likely to experience or have panic attacks as well. In other words, inheritance plays an important role in determining who gets it. However, people with no family history can still develop a panic disorder.

Environment factors and upbringing – People who grew up overly cautious about their life and actions, and those who live in a very stressful environment, plus different traumatic experiences from the past are likely to have panic attacks.

Short-term triggering causes – Significant life changes, emotional trauma from a failed relationship, life transition, stimulants such as nicotine and caffeine, psilocybin, marijuana, and drugs can trigger panic attacks.

A person during an attack shows these signs and symptoms:

• Increased heartbeat or palpitation
• Chest pain
• Hyperventilation or shortness of breath
• Stomach churning, upset stomach
• Trembling and shaking
• Muscle tension
• Sweating
• Dizziness and light-headedness
• Hot or cold flashes
• Tingling sensation or numbness
• Fear of dying, going crazy or losing control
• Feeling detached from the surroundings

I Want To See Spring, Sun, And Flowers

jude8753 | Beauty Misc | Tuesday, 10 February 2009

The weather has been beautiful lately and I’m hoping the groundhog got it wrong, not that I believe that anyhow. Sunday we actually got the bike out and took a small putt even though I still feel a little sick from that horrible virus that has hung on for almost 2 months. I want to see Spring, sun, and flowers.

Just to be out with the sun on my face was enough to lift the depression of Winter and other events over the past couple months for a little while and it was Heavenly. Bill seems to think that my loss hasn’t really hit me yet, so he still watches me like a Hawk. I’m not sure if I’m expected to have a break down or what.

I’m not quite sure what he’s looking for, but I guess if I start acting even more weird then I already am he’ll know what to do. I have learned in my life to accept the things I can’t change and have no control over and let go and move on. I have been surrounded by death most of my life and it amazes me that many haven’t.

Everyone deals with heartache, but we can’t let that be the controlling factor. Of course I mourn for all my losses, but I know I have to continue the life I was given to experience and that all the energy of the people I have loved and lost in this life is still in my heart and will always be with me and when it’s my time, my energy will also remain just not in the form we’re use to seeing.

Great Kid Zone From Mega Brands

jude8753 | Beauty Misc, Beauty School Insights | Friday, 06 February 2009

MEGA Brands Kids Zone is a cool place for you and your kids there are lots of different activities that can be printed out to keep your children occupied while you get some work done. We all want to find safe sites for our children and in my case this would be perfect for my 7 year old Grandson and I’m sure his Mother would even approve. If you’re looking for an interesting children’s site then you have to try this.

They have different games to play and I tried the Magnext Virtual, but the lobby was empty so I had no one to play on that game. I then tried out Legends King Arthur and did better with that one although I’m terrible with playing games Nate would love it. I did manage to hit King Arthur’s Castle 4 times, but I needed 10 hits to destroy the castle. My aim was way off, I then played in the battle castle and won one and lost one.

Parents really love the Mega Bloxs, puzzles, and other toys for their children and you can check those out while you’re there also. Nate loves to build things and put stuff  together especially dinosaurs and robots so I might think about the Struxx Robotrixx for his birthday. Be sure to try the games yourself I’m sure you’ll probably have as much fun as your kids.

Muzzle Train That Irritating Barking Dog

jude8753 | Beauty Misc | Monday, 02 February 2009

I love my dog, but since he’s been sick I’ve also been sick the whole time and when you feel bad it’s hard to take care of those around you that are ill also. I find that my patience have been stretched to breaking point and that’s not good. I have always been gentle with him and took my time training him and tried not to push. There are lots of training books out there, but you have to have patience.

I trained my dog when he was a puppy and he’s very smart and catches on quickly, but since he’s immobile right now he has taken to barking incessantly and is driving me crazier than I already am. He barks when he’s about to pee or poop and when he’s not getting enough attention. He wants someone near all the time and if you go outside he barks till you come back.

I know when we had to put him in the kennel for a week that he must have thought we abandoned him and it broke my heart because he’s never been boarded before. He’s 10 years old and he’s a good old guy, but like I said he’s been driving me nuts. I decided I had to buy a muzzle and try training him not to bark for no reason at all because he’s also making himself sick by straining.

I bought the muzzle on Saturday and every time he started barking for no reason I would put it on him. He looked so pitiful and I felt so sorry for him, but I would only leave it on for 10 minutes or so and then remove it. Every time he barked I put it on and today is Monday, I have been using it for 2 days and I can’t believe the difference. I haven’t had to put it on once so far today and my annoyance level has gone way down.

I’m sure he will still bark, that’s only natural and I know he’s scared, but we try to reassure him.At least so far today he’s not doing it steadily which he has been for over a month. So if you have a problem with a barking dog you might want to check into training him with a muzzle to quieten him down before the neighbors start complaining and reporting you for animal neglect because they get irritated too.
