My Brother And His Hair Cuts

jude8753 | Hair Removal | Friday, 14 November 2008

I always cut my brothers hair he comes over once a month like clock work of course I don’t charge him, but he always brings me something just to say thanks. No, I’m not a kitchen beautician because I don’t practise anymore. I simply save my brother and my partner 14 dollars a month and that’s the perks of having a license in the family so long as it’s not taken advantage of..

I’m filing this under hair removal because that’s what I’m thinking about doing to my brothers head. I love my brother and I do not want him to look funny just because he doesn’t have my political beliefs. Now how silly is that, that I would want my brother to view things and politics the same as I do that I would want him to look ridiculous just because he doesn’t?

When it comes to being professional you have to put everything aside and just concentrate on what the customer wants and if they want a certain insignia cut in their head why should I do otherwise just because I don’t agree. I was always a Redskin fan and when a Dallas Cowboy fan came and wanted that insignia I couldn’t refuse just because I liked the Skins.

I have been known to try and talk someone out of something that might impact their life over a period of time, but if they insist after I explain all of the possible drawbacks and consequences then that is on them and they face these challenges by themselves. I have gotten signed statements that I can not be held liable for any consequences that might occur.

Of course just because my brother told my partner who he voted for and not me means that maybe he is afraid that I might seek some sort of retribution because of his choice, which I never would unless my guard conveniently slipped and removed every hair on his pitifully thick head of hair, but I’m sure that will never happen.

A Few Options For Hair Removal

jude8753 | Hair Removal | Thursday, 20 September 2007

The growing trend in the past years has been hair removal. Everyone wants a smooth, hairless body. The human body is almost completely covered with fine hair though called lanugo and it helps with the evaporation of perspiration. The palms of the hands and soles of the feet have none though and this has turned into a very lucrative business for anyone licensed to do hair removal. Although there’s many options for hair removal, waxing has been one of the most popular and preferred methods of removing hair. Women aren’t the only ones though lots of men are also among frequent customers getting their backs, chests and other areas waxed smooth.

Waxing can either be done by professionals in a salon or you can do it yourself in your own home using one of the many kinds of self-waxing kits that are sold in stores. Waxing requires hot wax to be poured on the area and then removed by having strips stuck on and pulled off along with unwanted hair. Although this method is often painful, it is cost effective and can last a while, which keeps many customers going back for more.

Since hair removal has become so popular with each passing year there has been more and more advancements and new products being created that are giving hair removal customers more options. Since there are now so many different types of hair removal methods available, it can sometimes be difficult for people to determine which method is best for them.

A method similar to laser hair removal but that has been around much longer is that of electrolysis. When removing hair by electrolysis, the technician uses a needle that projects an electric current into the hair follicle, killing it at the root. By sending the current directly to the root of the hair follicle it prevents hair from growing back in the same spot. Although it may take longer than laser hair removal, electrolysis is another way to permanently remove hair in a certain area. Like laser hair removal, this takes a number of repeat appointments for treatment. Electrolysis often requires treatment for anywhere up to a year to a year and a half for the hair to be completely removed. Like laser hair treatment, electrolysis can cause some discomfort and pain during treatment when the electric current is killing the hair follicle but it should not last longer than a few minutes after the treatment has ended.

A long used method of hair removal is the process of removing hair using depilatories. Depilatories are made up of a chemical mixture that is applied to a region of unwanted hair. Once applied, the depilatory is left on the hair from anywhere from three to fifteen minutes depending on the size of the area and the amount of hair being removed. Once the chemicals have had time to kill the hair, the depilatory is removed and the area of skin is smooth and free from hair. Unlike laser hair removal and electrolysis, using a depilatory is completely pain free and can be done in the privacy of your own home. A number of depilatories are sold at local supermarkets. However, for people with sensitive skin depilatories may not be the right way to go about removing unwanted hair. Since depilatories contain such strong chemicals in order to kill the hair, they often cause skin irritation for people who are prone to having sensitive skin. Depilatories also typically require repeat treatments considerably sooner than both electrolysis and laser hair removal.

Laser Hair Removal For Excessive Hair Growth

jude8753 | Hair Removal | Tuesday, 04 September 2007

Do you have excessive hair growth on parts of your body that you don’t want and are ashamed of? Have you tried every hair removal system and creams that come on the market? Then laser hair removal may be the answer for you, but the cost can be expensive because it isn’t covered by insurance and is considered a cosmetic procedure.Usually the average cost in the states can run around $500 and people tend to need more than one session.

However in some cases such as facial hair removal, one session may be enough and most people use laser removal as a last option after trying everything else. This is an excellent alternative to other options if you can afford it.

Laser hair removal isn’t recommended for individuals with certain medical conditions and disorders. Also individuals with very light-colored hair including gray and white hair may find that it’s not an effective treatment because hair without pigment will not absorb the energy from the laser.

Laser hair removal is accomplished by sending a light beam of a specific wavelength onto the skin from the laser. The beam of light is sent through a hand piece into the skin, where it attacks the darker pigmentation of the hair follicle. This causes damage and destruction of the hair follicle without damaging the skin tissues around it. Some people do experience permanent hair loss, while others will need to repeat the procedure. Sometimes when hair does grow back it is lighter in color and a finer texture.

There are four types of lasers that are used for hair removal. They are Ruby, Alexandrite, Diode, and NdYAG. Each of these four lasers are different in many ways and are used for different skin types. The ruby laser is able to focus in on small areas and can be used on both dark and light skin. However, this laser works best on light skin. The alexandrite laser is very versatile and can be used on many different types of hair. It is able to focus on large areas and is very easy to customize. The diode laser uses a much longer wavelength which makes it very effective on most types of skin. The NdYag laser works well on people with dark hair and dark skin.

Laser hair removal is considered safe, but always make sure you have this procedure done by a licensed, experienced professional. If not done properly you take the risk of blistering, burns, skin discoloration and patchy uneven hair regrowth. Check for the specialist in your area and go meet with them then decide which is best for you and make sure you follow all instructions for before and after laser hair removal.
