Hello to everyone,
I went to school in Texas. I graduated in Feb of this year. (2011) My family and I move to Arkansas
The day after I graduated. I have taken my written and Passed. But in June will be taking my practical.
I studied for the Texas Practical but it is different from Arkansas in a few ways. I know that in
Arkansas you don’t do Mani’s or Facials. No models. But while I have looked at the Arkansas state
Website I think I am not properly prepared. I was wanting to know if anyone recently took the test
Or if some one could help me understand just what I will be tested on and how to prep my bag.

Like it wasn’t clear on things like- do they test on finger waves and pin curls in Ark.
Do they do the one roller test at the top of the head?
When they say you do 3 curls on the side of the head and 3 on top with thermal curling
Are those 3 curls on the side vertical or horizontal?

Perm section do you do 6 or 8 rods on the center of the head from the crown down to the
Nap?
And on those do you still need to section out a 9 section if you are doing the 6 or 8 in the
Center?
Basically I am look for some one to help break it down so that I am as ready for
The Arkansas state board as I was for Texas.

I asked the people at Arkansas state board but they only sent me the info that I already
Read and it just isn’t as clear as I need it to be.
So if anyone could help me understand it I would be grateful! I even asked people on you tube
Who tested here and videoed it but got no answers.
I want to be ready and totally be ready.

Thanks for any and all help.
