It’s great if you know how to embroider because you can personalize many things for all those baby showers you get invited to, but that’s something I have never learned to do. Sometimes it’s really hard to accept things that happen in your life, like the loss of a loved one. Everyone grieves in their own way, but you can’t let it take control. I remember and celebrate the life that my Son had, his energy is always with me and I take comfort in knowing that he is now pain free in body and spirit. I now see his energy back where it began, back with his source.

He had his life to live the way he saw fit and sometimes we did not always agree on the way he chose, but it was always his choice to make. Sometimes we think because we give birth that their life belongs to us. It is only given to us to guide and take care of till they are old enough to make their own choices. We do the best we can and hope for the best for them.

My Son lived for 38 years and from many other Mother’s I have spoken to that was a lot longer than their children. People need support when they go through something like that so it’s always a good idea to find a support group in your area if at all possible or at least a supportive pastor or family member. Accepting and letting go is the only way you will heal.

No one knows what life has in store for them, but learning to accept those things that we can’t change and believing that everything has a purpose even though we don’t understand brings our faith into play. I get through one day at a time and I’m very grateful that I have the opportunity to wake up and remember a life that was so dear to me, Rest In Peace My Eric.

Even though things feel very tough for me right now I still see the beauty in life and people. We all get depressed at different times in our life for different reasons, but we continue on because this is the life we were given to make our choices everyday to make it better or to continue to wallow in self destructive ways.

I am trying to see the reasons with my current affairs and make it better for myself and those around me. I’m not talking about world events, politics, economy or anything of that nature. I’m simply dealing with the sorrow I feel about losing my child to a battle he fought with dignity and strength.

I know I will overcome the grief I’m feeling right now, but it’s hard. At least my Son had 38 years to enjoy parts of his life and he told me that he had no regrets and was grateful for everything that he was privileged to experience so I guess I will have to accept that and continue living my life.

I really apologize to anyone that tried to access my blog this morning, it was down for 4 hours. There are many comments from the last month that require an answer, but I’ve been unwell and haven’t really felt like researching the answers for you. The best way to get a quick reply to a burning question is to contact the state board for which you are seeking reciprocity because each state is different and as I keep saying over and over the information changes all the time and I can not always keep up with all the frequent changes.
