Carole from Carole’s Thoughtful Spot was sweet and decided I needed a beautiful butterfly award and I really appreciate it. I really enjoy reading Carol’s blog and I think it is pretty cool also because she’s very entertaining and I’m sure you’ll like it too.
I was being nostalgic this past weekend and looking at old photographs I normally do this once a year and I ran across my 7th, 8th, and 9th grade pictures and they really brought back a lot of old school memories, some fun and some hurtful, but it was during a time that I was trying to be one of those beautiful butterflies and figure out where I stood in the world.
They actually made me laugh especially my hair styles and I decided I would share them with you, but of course back then I though I was cool, didn’t you? Sometimes I enjoy visiting my past because it seems like a totally different person which of course she was. You realize as you get older and revisit how little you actually knew about the world around you.
I still recall the dreams that young girl had and how events shaped her life and how naive she actually was. Some of her dreams came true, but many still remain locked inside her heart. I always loved butterflies and could watch them for hours and imagine that I was the same emerging from a cocoon and becoming beautiful like them, hey a young girl can dream.
