When we think about the beautiful things in our lives right there up on top I’m sure we all have family listed. Family and friends and God for some will be number one because without God and love there would be no family, at least that’s the way I see it.
I don’t add church to the top of my list because religion is not the same as spirituality. Religion and church through out history has managed to cause too much war and hatred for me to even add it to my list of beautiful things.
During my reflections today I thought about the things in my life that I am grateful for and give thanks to God for and below is my list. It’s not a complete list, but I did want to share the most important with you.
1. That I was given the chance to be born and experience life.
2. That I have been able to make choices in my life even if they were not always the right ones.
3. That I live in one of the greatest countries in the world and have so many freedoms that other countries only dream about.
4. I am of course grateful for my family even though some of us don’t see eye to eye.
5. My son of course has always been the most important person in this life even though he has never realized it and I’m grateful for him.
6. I’m also grateful my son found someone that loves him and gave me Ethan, my only biological grandson even though I’m grateful for Bill’s grandchildren that I accept as my own.
7. I am grateful that I found Bill regardless of how late in life.
8. I am grateful for my 2 dogs.
9. I forgot to mention when I was making this list because this should have been at the top, but since it was God I was telling my grateful list to I was assuming that he knew that I was grateful that I know him and have a firm belief in him.

Nice list! It’s always good to reflect on things we are thankful for and thank God for them. See my list at: http://karen.pnn.com/5207-life-is-tough-but-god-is-good
Hi Jude
Very nice list. Its amazing how much remembering what is good in our lives can help. Bless you and your family.
Hi Karen I will check your list shortly thank-you for sharing and Lea you are always ever so kind and thoughtful and God has already blessed me, but I will accept more thanks and I wish the same for you and yours and everyone else of course. We are all intermingled and connected so when one is blessed then we all are and get closer to where we want to be.
I like your list! I’m so thankful, too, for my relationship with God who is my “Abba Father” as it says in the Bible, a Hebrew word that means pretty much the same thing as “Daddy.” That’s the kind of relationship we have. I’m so thankful for His Son, Jesus, who is not only my Savior but also my best and dearest friend who understands what we go through here on earth. I’m so thankful for my husband, our children and grandbaby. They are so dear to me. We have so many blessings to be thankful for. I’m also thankful for my church family because we’re there for each other in good times and bad. They really helped me so much when each of my parents died. They helped us celebrate when our daughter got married and then again when she and her husband had a baby. I love my small Women’s Bible Study group so much. Those ladies are like my sisters, and are my sisters in Christ. I’m really sorry you’ve had a bad experience with church!
Sounds like we all have so much to be thankful for…and are thankful!
Charla God loves you be happy and it’s great to see you I hope everything got worked out with your blog because I couldn’t view it for several days.
