Many people develop carpal tunnel syndrome and some conditions that can contribute are diabetes, pregnancy, obesity, arthritis, and hypothyroidism. There are also some diseases that cause it and some people don’t even know how they developed it. People that type a lot and do repetitive work can put a lot of pressure on the median nerve at the wrist. It involves the middle and index fingers plus the thumb causing swelling, numbness and a tingling pain.
Depending on the severity many different treatments for carpal tunnel relief are used, like some doctors try steroids, splints, exercise, rest, ice, vitamin B6 and surgery to repair the nerve. One of the girls I worked with developed it in both wrists and she always had to wear a wrist support when she bowled because the pain got so bad and with waitressing and carrying heavy trays. She eventually had surgery and quit waitressing and bowling and she is now fine.
Jody recently had the new Granddaughter and while she was pregnant she had developed carpal tunnel and she was so swollen that it effected the median nerve in her wrist so the hospital had to give her a glove and I’m not sure who made it as far as I know it could have been IMAK® because it was developed by an Orthophedic Surgeon to help provide carpal tunnel relief. They did say her symptoms should go away eventually it’s bad enough all the pain with a C-section, poor girl had to have this pain also.
IMAK® makes some pretty good products like the shoulder saver, wrist and mouse cushions, the smart gloves with thumb support, now those look really good for someone like me that uses the pc all the time and they also have a 1 year refund policy. From everything I read and the testimonials which have to be real now, I mean they can’t just make that stuff up anymore those smart gloves sound perfect. I guess this is going to be another product on my wish list and best part is I can use it as a tax write off because I’ll be using it for work.
