The Beauty Denominator

I recently had the opportunity to see some of the older celebrities that I have always liked and was totally shocked at their appearance. My God what in the world have they done to themselves? They were almost unrecognizable. When I saw Kenny Rogers on American Idol I was totally shocked and it’s not only him, but Burt Reynolds and Joan Rivers and many others.

The world we live in puts so much focus on youth and beauty that these people have totally destroyed themselves chasing after that youthful look. I am totally mystified that these seemingly intelligent, successful individuals could actually do this to their faces. They totally look sick and you know the rest of the body has to be showing their age, now how ridiculous does that look.

I was rooting for Priscilla Presley on Dancing With The Stars, but I felt so sad for her that she can’t let go of the youthful look, what a pain in the backside and I’m sure she had quite a few. What in the world do you think we are saying to our youth if even we aren’t allowed to grow older gracefully. Children have enough pressure on them without the added pressure of always having to look a certain way. Ridiculous..this needs to be changed starting today.

Everybody seems to have a beauty, fashion, cooking, gardening, crafts, photography, sports, cat or dog, but more cat, make money, or political blog and as anyone can see they are very saturated so how in the world does one make their blog stand out? If you have an answer I’m open to hear it. With this one it has been more about cosmetology reciprocity in the past because that is where I get the most visits from, but I really am so tired of answering the same questions over and over.

To tell you the truth I have left numerous posts telling people that I simply do not have the time or resources to do all the research that people require of me, but it does little good because they simply don’t read what I write because they still want me to find answers for them. I have been steering this blog in a simpler way that I can maintain that doesn’t take up all my time or attention because it gets tiring after awhile.

I’m not quite sure what I plan on doing with this blog now, but I’m working on a few ideas. When my visitors are sent here from Google all they do is check the page they are sent to and instead of look at the other information that I provide they simply decide to ask their question so I will have to look instead of them and many times their question has already been answered in the above comments.

I really don’t like to feel guilty for not running straight out and finding the answer for them so I may simply close comments on some of the posts that already have a trillion comments because they are getting too long and people don’t like to sift for answers, that’s too much like work and I really don’t have the time. It is so simple to e-mail your own state board and get a quick and correct answer and I really don’t have the time to keep this blog updated with all the reciprocity changes.

When we are born there are so many hopes and dreams for us and our parents or caretakers for the most part do their best to love, clothe and protect us and teach us their concept of what is right or wrong and I’m sure there is a lot of praying done regardless of that persons particular persuasion.

We want what is best for our children and to that end we work diligently. I’m talking about the general populace not the unfit, neglectful, and uncaring that we have all heard about and maybe even know. It’s hard for me to believe that there are those parents that do actually harm their offspring, but I know they do.

For most of us our children are the most important human beings in the world and we strive to see them grow and become loving, successful human adults that will in turn procreate and carry on with families of their own. When our child is sick we rush them to doctors to find a quick cure, but what happens when we are told that there is none? 

What’s left if you have no hope? My answer would be despair. Hope is that 4 letter word that keeps me going and gives me the strength to continue and carry on. I can’t say that I know for a fact or even if I have enough faith that my son will be cured or healed, but I certainly hope so despite the predicted outcome.

There are so many people praying for my son and I really appreciate all the prayers and best wishes. My son has so much hope even though they gave him 2 years at the most. He has gone for a second opinion today so I wont hear the results from these test for awhile. I don’t think they will find anything different, but I still hope that the stage isn’t as far as first predicted.

We shall wait and hope and pray and continue to hope for a miracle.

I wish to thank all cosmetologist that visit this site and let you know that I do not have the time to research any more questions concerning reciprocity. If you can’t find the answers to your questions by inputting a word into my search and finding something that can help then please go to your states website and either e-mail your questions directly or call the state that you need answers for.

I am not an expert on all the states involved in this country and I do not set myself up to be an expert, rules and statutes change daily and I can not nor do I want to keep up with every state, I simply do not have the time to do research that you can do yourself by simply asking the state board that you are involved with. Why in the world would I be talking about Halloween costumes at this time of the year? Well, maybe it’s because Summer is almost over and kids are going back to school and before we know it all of the holidays will be upon us again. Boy, these years certainly do fly by quick don’t they? I do like to make money also so I like to make sure that everyone visits the best places for the best deals and when you get a deal then so do I.

Bill and I actually hate this time of year because we know we will soon have to put the bike up, but we love when Nate and Bills’ girls dress up for Halloween and come and visit us. I’m not sure what they will come as this year, but it’s always a treat for us. Of course we should try to find nutritious things to give out instead of all the junk. Maybe it will be little boxes of raisins and packets of nuts.

Grownups love to dress up and go out and party and get crazy on Halloween, but as we get older it’s harder to find those costumes especially the Plus Size Costumes  and that’s ridiculous, but that’s the way it has always been. Those of us that have a few extra pounds and curves and want to find something unique do really have options now and it means that all the cute little petite girls don’t get to have it all their own way because the world is changing and adapting to fit everyone.
