Very interesting and well written article. I agree with most all the statements you present. In fact, I could not understand women wanting breast augmentation unless they had to have one or both removed or partially removed for health reasons. However, my daughter decided she wanted to. She choose to have the saline implants. She asked me to go with her to the surgeon. I listened as she asked many detailed questions and left the office without making a decision. Soon after, she had the procedure. Again, she (a grown woman with two children) wanted Mom with her.
I was surprised at the outcome. She had very a very natural look. She is slight in her build, and the breast were a natural size. Clothes in her size fit her much better. She gained a confidence beyond the confidence she had previously. In her case, it turned out to be a good experience. despite this, I still cannot understand a woman wanting the procedure unless it was to replace a removed breast or to have a breast reduction due to back problems.

I don't understand why women are so easily conned by men into undergoing surgery (with all its risks) to fit into some male teen fantasy.

Yes, I do. I do understand... it's because these women are young and haven't yet realised the perfidy of men, little undisciplined boys who will do anything to gratify their childish whims.

A good test is to ask "Would he have his earlobes enlarged to prove that he loves me? Would he have surgery on his navel if he really and truly loved me?"
