I Want To Go To Wimbledon At Least Once
Wimbledon tennis tickets who in the world wouldn’t want to get their hands on them? I personally love to watch tennis because I can’t play any more and even though I was never good it was fun and great exercise. Between my wrist and knees plus my poor old back I am now relegated to watching.
My favorite tennis champion has to be Billie Jean King and she won six Wimbledon singles championships and four U.S. Open titles, now how great is that? She set the stage in the 70’s as far as I’m concerned for all women athletes. She was ranked No. 1 in the world for five years.
Who in the world can forget her match with Bobby Riggs “The Battle Of The Sexes?” He had won the Wimbledon Championship in 1939, but as far as I’m concerned was a joke afterwards because he chose to be, but he was still a great player and no one can take that away from him or his victories, but the showdown in 1973 had to be my favorite.
I wish I could afford to go to the open in June, but it’s just not going to happen. I have friends that live in England and I know they will send me feed back, but I’m sure I will be able to make it some day. Most of my friends really don’t get into tennis because for them it’s the same as golf and they simply don’t understand the idea of hitting a ball around, go figure.
