The last few days everything I touch on this computer seems to fall apart. I’m not normally so quick to take blame when templates and websites go berserk, but too many things in a row have me concerned. Of course I blame everything on not smoking and menopause. I am trying this template for awhile to see if I like it or if anyone doesn’t. I worked on it all night so hopefully it will suit.
Tomorrow I’m working on another one then I’ll see which I can work the best with. I finished my other 2 blogs and as soon as I’m done here I can get back to posting on a regular schedule. I really have to take a vacation away from this computer it’s starting to consume all of my time. In May we will be going to Ohio so that will be a nice get away for a week.
We love getting away from home and staying in a hotel or motel and just kicking back and spending time together away from our everyday mundane routines. It’s been awhile, so we’re do a renewal time together so we can remember what was so special between us when we first got together. We always stress out during the Winter months, but Spring is right around the corner.
I know everyone gets stressed at one time or another, but sometimes it just continues to build and we need to determine and understand the cause of our stress and then we can put them in place and deal with them easier. Oxygen is very important to the body and since I quit smoking, I feel like I’m drowning in it. I must say it’s great to be able to take a complete deep breath. Why don’t you try it right now take a deep breath and stand up and stretch.
Being able to take a deep breath adds oxygen to the system, which can help you relax and feel better. Learning how to breathe can help you maintain your self-control in a stressful situation. People have even lost weight with breathing exercises. Always remember that the opposite of stress is relaxation.
Take a short walk, get a glass a glass of water and do something that can change your focus. Try smiling and take a short moment to focus on something other than your problems. I know this past week I have been doing a lot of deep breathing especially every time I get an over powering urge to smoke a cigarette and believe it or not it really helps me.
In order to manage our stress effectively we need to know our self and what our limitations are. Sometimes, learning to say “No” can spare us from stress build up. Taking a warm bath and watching your favorite show on TV can also help. Get that favorite book out and take your mind off things for awhile.
I agree about the walk. I love to walk! It does wonders to relieve stress and oxygenate the body. It’s also a time that I like to pray and talk to God. If I’m having a problem or something is bothering me, I pour my heart out to him in prayer. It helps me so much!
