I use Izearanks for both my blogs in order to keep tabs on where my blog measures up to all the other blogs that are in the system. This is a free service and you don’t have to ever pay anything. This blog goes up and down and the realrank changes everyday according to the traffic I receive. My traffic is not always consistent, it depends on what people are searching for and with this one it is usually something concerning cosmetology reciprocity.
Anyone that has a blog can simply insert a snippet of javascript code that is different from ppp and the real traffic that you receive will be calculated and then you will be assigned your rank compared to all other blogs that are registered. This is a new service that hopefully will replace Google’s opinion about your blog, at least with this you actually know where you stand and you can see how you compare with other blogs and as far as I’m concerned the more blogs in the system the better you can compare.
IZEARanks.com in order to make it fun and more enticing also run contests and this month, whom ever is number 1 for each week can win 1,000 dollars. Unfortunately I am ranked at 874 so this month I predict I will not win, but I’m sure there will be other contest and I wish everyone good luck. Extra money always comes in handy even if you are responsible for paying your own taxes, it’s still more than you had before. You can read all the details at their site.
Also you can choose to keep everything private except the realrank or you can choose to have everything public. For right now I have mine set at private, but I’ll probably switch it over eventually and you can even add a badge to your site to show your realrank, I haven’t done that to date. So if your curious and want to know where you stand then try this new service. You can always remove it if you don’t like what you see.
Below are several screen shots of the graphs that you will see and be able to compare up to 10 sites at one time to see how they measure up. You can see the unique visitors, realrank and page views. I made these thumbnails so they would load faster, but you can view them a little larger if you like.
